Taehyun stood outside the front door of Beomgyu's house. He couldn't believe that he actually came out of his way to come see and spend time with his enemy.
Of course, Yeonjun was the one who put him up to this.
He asked Taehyun to take Beomgyu out of his house for a while so that he and Soobin could sneak in and prepare a surprise romantic dinner for him.
Personally, that idea of helping create a romantic date for Beomgyu makes him want to roll his eyes into the back of his head, but he needs to do this. The sooner Beomgyu and Yeonjun got back together, the sooner Soobin would have more time for Taehyun.
Taehyun took a deep breath and knocked on the door. As soon as Beomgyu opened it, Taehyun greeted him with sparkling eyes and a big smile.
"Hi Beomgyu! I was-"
Before Taehyun could even finish his sentence, Beomgyu closed the door in his face.
"Oh, you son of a-" Taehyun stopped himself and took a deep breath. He knocked repeatedly on the door. Beomgyu yelled at him from the other side to stop but of course Taehyun didn't listen.
After a while, Beomgyu got fed up and opened the door. Taehyun's smile was obviously a bit more forced this time.
"Leave me alone Taehyun," Beomgyu said as he attempted to close the door, but Taehyun's foot stopped him from closing it completely. "Taehyun."
"We should hang out today," Taehyun suggested.
Beomgyu scoffed, "What's the catch?"
Taehyun pushed the door back open with his foot, "There is no catch, I just want to hang out."
"Don't take this the wrong way or anything," Beomgyu crossed his arms, "But I have a very hard time believing that you suddenly want to become besties after hating me for the past year."
"I do hate you," Taehyun said and Beomgyu rolled his eyes, "but if you're my boyfriend's best friend and I'm your boyfriend's best friend then we should try to get along."
"Yeonjun is not my boyfriend," Beomgyu quickly retorted.
Taehyun smirked, "Yet you knew exactly who I was talking about."
Beomgyu let out a long and dramatic sigh, "Fine." He stepped aside to let the younger in, "I guess you can come inside, and we can-"
"No!" Taehyun grabbed Beomgyu's wrist. Beomgyu looked offended and Taehyun quickly let go of him mumbling his apologies. "I just mean we should go out somewhere. Who's to say that you won't slit my throat the moment I step inside."
Beomgyu leaned against the doorframe, "I don't think suggesting that I will murder makes me want to go out with you," he chuckled, "If anything it's the opposite way around."
Taehyun pouted his lips and shrugged, "Then why take the risk and not hang out somewhere in public."
"Or we could just not hang out at all," Beomgyu went to close the door which was once again stopped by Taehyun's foot.
Taehyun didn't want it to come to this, but Beomgyu had left him no choice. He needs to get Beomgyu out of this house for Yeonjun's plan to work.
"I am going to sit here and recite the entire history of the prop making industry until you agree to come to the mall with me."
Beomgyu blinked at him, "Are you serious?"
Taehyun took a deep breath, "A prop, formally known as theatrical property, is an object actors use on stage or screen during a performance or screen production. In practical terms, a prop is considered to be anything movable or portable on a stage or a set, distinct from the actors, scenery, costumes, and electrical equipment."
