Yeonjun grabbed Beomgyu's hand and led him to the dining room. The typically bare table was draped with a silk white table cloth and a single candle lit in the center. Bright red flower petals were scattered all over the table, some found their way to the floor.

Beomgyu scrunched his nose at the slight mess, "I hope you're cleaning this up after we're done."

"I'll do whatever you want, Princess," Yepbjun smiled at him and Beomgyu gagged at the nickname. Yeonjun pulled out a chair for Beomgyu to sit.

Once Beomgyu was sat Yeonjun excused himself to go get the food. It was plated on the counter which was only a couple of feet away but manners were important when trying to impress the boy of your dreams.

Yeonjun placed the plate down in front of Beomgyu and snuck in a peck on the cheek, "Dinner is served."

Beomgyu's eyes lit up when he saw the food. It was honey rice cakes and stir-fried beef tripes- his absolute favorite. His grandfather used to make it for him growing up and he absolutely loved it. Beomgyu really hasn't had time to prepare it for himself with running an entire bakery by himself. It meant a lot to him that Yeonjun remembered such a small but important detail from all of those years ago.

"I actually wasn't sure what to make you so I had to ask Soobin for help," Yeonjun admitted as he sat down.

"Oh," Beomgyu frowned a little.

"I remember your grandfather making this honey rice cake recipe. I really wanted to make it for you because I remember how big you smiled when you found out he made it," Yeonjun went on as he fiddled with his chopsticks, "I knew it was honey rice cakes fried with some sort of tripe but I couldn't remember what kind of tripe. Y'know lamb, pork or the plenty other kinds. Some people say they're all the same but I know they aren't. I wanted to make sure I had the exact same kind so I could see that smile again." Beomgyu couldn't help but laugh at this and Yeonjun pouted his lips. "Why are you laughing at me?"

"Nothing," Beomgyu reached over the table and grabbed Yeonjun's free hand, "Thank you. It means a lot. It really does."

Yeonjun gently rubbed the back of Beomgyu's hand with his thumb, "Anything for you," he pulled away, "Now eat your food before it gets cold."

The two boys ate dinner, enjoying each other's company with some light conversation. Beomgyu talked about his day with Taehyun, leaving out the part where the younger boy ruined Yeonjun's big surprise. Yeonjun talked about some of their past adventures together. The two boys giggled and cringed at some of the antics they did in grade school.

After a while Yeonjun noticed that Beomgyu was no longer eating his food, "Are you done? I can clean up everything if you want."

"As much as I would love to make you do all the work," Beomgyu teased, "I can help. Let me do the dishes."

"I- are you sure? I don't mind," Yeonjun wanted to spoil Beomgyu tonight, everything had to be perfect.

"You act like I'm the Wicked Witch of the West or something," Beomgyu tilted his head, "One drop of water and I'm going to melt."

"I didn't mean it like that- I just- I'm supposed to-"

Beomgyu stood up and placed one hand on Yeonjun's chest, smiling at him, "It's fine. Come on let's get this over with."

Yeonjun nodded, standing up himself. Beomgyu grabbed the dishes and headed to the sink while Yeonjun went to the cleaning closet in the hallway to grab the broom and dustpan.

He was about to make his way back to the kitchen when he heard a loud scream. Yeonjun dropped everything he was holding and ran to where Beomgyu was. The younger boy was curled up in a ball, holding onto his wrist.
