Chapter 16

[Yeonjun's POV]

The only thing I could think of was the arrest I did in the alleyway a while before the infection started. The memory of it brought me almost as much pain as the losses I experienced during the infection. Allow me to elaborate one second... Just let me lie down on my bed and catch some z's. Here's how it went down.

Flashback

I remember now, we were chasing the criminals Choi Soobin and Lee Know. They were wanted for many years now for stealing from many stores. Seems like criminal behavior is in their blood and thanks the my investigations, we tracked them here. Bang Chan and Changbin joined me on this operation too.

"Alright Yeonjun, you sure Soobin and Lee Know are here?" Changbin asked.

"No doubt about it, my investigation led me here. I'm sure of it!" I said.

"Well since when has our detective friend not been right? Seriously we're gonna get you another promotion after this!" Chan said.

"Chan focus, we have to find those two and arrest them."

"Yeah, we can't afford to let them get away this time!" Changbin said.

"Alright then, good thing we closed down the restaurant and hotel. We don't want civilians caught up in this mess," Chan said.

"That's true," I said.

"If we pull this off let's get ramen, I know you can't resist ramen Yeonjun!" Changbin said.

"The faster we get this done, the faster we get ramen!"

"This guy and ramen..." Chan said. We all headed into the alley. The hotel was closed blocked by police tape, the restaurant was locked but I heard the lock doesn't always lock properly. We walked around the alley for a bit until we found a familiar someone.

"Wait isn't that Lee Know?" Changbin asked. Lee Know turned to look at us and realized the situation.

"Shit!" Lee Know shouted and tried running.

"After him!" I shouted and we all ran after him.

"You aren't taking me alive!"

"We will see about that!" Chan said while we ran.

He ran through the hotel ignoring the police tape, he ran through the restaurant too and almost left the alley, but we managed to catch up and Changbin used his taser to paralyze him.

"Lee Minho, you're under arrest for stealing across the city with Choi Soobin!" Changbin said.

"You think this is the end?!" he shouted.

"Actually yes we do, we will also make sure we catch your partner in crime too," I said and brought his hands behind him and handcuffed him. We had him stand and we were gonna walk him to our car.

"Yeonjun, you find Soobin. We'll make sure Lee Know isn't a problem for you while you search," Chan said.

"Thanks," I said and walked through the alleys. I went into one of the buildings that Soobin and Lee Know were reported to enter through. This must be their hideout. I went inside and found door that required a 3 digit code. There was also a door closed shut with a screw. Bro of course this wouldn't easy, but why wasn't Lee Know inside? Did he lock it from the outside? That must be the case, I ran back to the cop car where Bang Chan and Changbin were at.
