This is everything Yeonjun wrote about his experiences during the infection for the second half of the story.

Chapter 16

I don't know why, but all I could think about was the arrest Chan, Changbin, and I did before the whole infection. It's been like a year and I still remember every single detail of what went down. We managed to track down wanted criminals from Seoul and found their whereabouts in the alleys. Quite fitting for them. After catching Minho and a hopeless attempt for him to cooperate, we found Soobin as well. Criminal blood must be in his blood because I've heard his parents were arrested on TV, although I never had their records once I worked at the station. After the arrest, I noticed that there were three sleeping bags on the floor, but only one of has been recently touched and the others had dust. One thing weighed heavily on my mind though, was arresting Soobin really the best choice?

Chapter 17

Now back in the present, we decided to find batteries for that radio we found back in the alleys. We assembled a team of Taehyun, Chaewon, Mina, and me to head to the store to find any, as well as some other supplies along the way. Surprisingly, the entire store hasn't been looted completely. I guess whoever went in didn't manage to get out the same way. Luckily for us, there was no infected we had to deal with so finding the batteries was easy for Taehyun and Mina. Once we arrived back at the safe place, we managed to get the radio working. On the other side was a strange voice saying we should meet up. Chaewon was against the idea as her experience with another group wasn't the best. Some of us were skeptical, and some of us trusted the person. In the end, Taehyun decided to go the same group along with Yujin decided to head the forest park to meet the survivors. Little did we know we fell into a trap by none other than Soobin himself with his group Stray Kids. He took away Taehyun and left not before he gave me his weapon. We needed to go after them.

Chapter 18

Apparently Haerin had followed us when we met with Stray Kids. She was also skeptical and wanted to make sure we were safe. We couldn't send her back so we had to bring her along to rescue Taehyun. I found it odd Soobin didn't take Chaewon or me, he knew us but I suppose he could get information out of Taehyun. Taehyun wouldn't say a word even if it kills him though. We managed to arrive at an oil refinery which Chaewon wasn't familiar with. Chaewon used to be part of Stray Kids until she couldn't tolerate what they do anymore. After getting past many guards, we managed to find Taehyun inside a room whom just knocked out an infected. We were glad he wasn't hurt, or that's what we thought... It turns out he was scratched by the infected. We were all so distraught and hopeless... Haerin started to cry, I wouldn't blame her, Taehyun was her brother after all. I was ready for the worst though, it still hurt but I lost Changbin already. Taehyun told us that he'd create a distraction for us to escape and with that we said goodbye, it turns out that his distraction was to explode the refinery. However, we did promise him that we'd find a cure.

Chapter 19

We arrived back at the safe place with one person missing. The loss of Taehyun was so hard to take in for all of us, especially Haerin, Chaewon, and Yujin. Taehyun wanted Chaewon to lead us all in his absence so that''s what she has to do. I told Chan about Soobin and his new group Stray Kids. He's someone we can't ignore. Filled with hate and guilt, I went outside for some air. Once again, I at my breaking point to end it all. I almost lost my reason to live after Changbin was infected, the loss of Taehyun was no different. Chaewon came out since she was worried about me, I expressed to her that I didn't wanna lose her next or anybody in general. Chaewon and I got to connect and learn more about each other and her history with Soobin. I was glad I had someone to talk to when I was hurt, it made me feel happy... Unfortunately that ended when Soobin threatened us with a rocket launcher on the next day. This was all a set up! He only intended to find out where we were staying so he could threaten us. Soobin took almost all of us away to a factory where he locked up everyone else except me. He wanted to use this time to "catch up" but I know very well he's scheming something underneath that grin.
