Hey guys! Did you enjoy the story? Well if you did then I'm glad!
This time, I had a main direct inspiration for this story. It was a game I played a few years ago now called Piggy. Which was once made as a joke and became as big as it was in 2020 when covid existed. I always loved the story and I wanted to interpret it with different characters. I was able to actually finish this in less than a year because I had plenty source material for reference.
Anyway by the time I'm writing this part, this was the 5th story I was actually writing but 3rd to be published. The other two were Book 2 for the Yeonjun x Chaewon story and something else which I can't tell you quite yet. Please look forward to them both as I move forward!
Next up I'm gonna answer some things you might've been wondering throughout the story as well as some changes I made in editing... That I'm able to answer!
-I decided to make Yeonjun the protagonist again because I feel like his drive to not give up was the most inspiring. While not the longest training period for a kpop idol ever, Yeonjun worked hard and has faced criticism from time to time.
-As much as I didn't want to kill off Changbin early in the story, as what Yeonjun's journal said, if he weren't infected then Yeonjun wouldn't need to escape the forest and help Bang Si-Hyuk rescue Mina.
-I genuinely don't know why I affiliated Bang Si-Hyuk with Mina in this story. I could've done JYP but I guess Yeonjun knows Bang PD irl more to establish a friendly relationship I guess...
-Originally in the early chapters of the story, Mina was supposed to get infected at some point based on the original part in Piggy, but it'd be a waste to know her for only two chapters if I did that, it'd basically be like filler in anime and I know many people don't like filler.
-I don't actually ship Yeonjun with Mina, I just thought it'd be a good idea to try... Sorry if I triggered people...
-This one is straightforward, Taehyun and Haerin are siblings in the story because they both have the surname of Kang. Yes I know I could've done Sakura since she basically is a female version of Taehyun, but I think the idea of giving him a younger sister was better for me.
-Although there aren't any on camera interactions between Yeonjun and Bang Chan (that I know of that isn't Inkigayo), knowing that Bang Chan really likes talking about him in that one Vlive, I decided to make them friends for the story.
-Originally there were planned to only be 24 chapters, but I wanted to extend it to 30.
-It's really out of character to make Soobin one of 3 antagonists in the story, but I did it for the sake of preventing potential fanwars. If I had Bang Chan be the evil one, then Stays will prolly think I'm calling him evil which isn't true at all. I don't think Soobin is evil either!
-I was gonna have Felix as a supporting character, but in the end I replaced him with Haerin since I couldn't find a part of the story for him to fit in
-For some chapters like 13-14 and 23-24 were originally gonna be one whole chapter, but they were too long and I split them up. Chapter 29 is an exception because it was intended to be long
-I wanted Huening Kai to have more of a role in the story, but my idea for it just didn't fit in well to be its own chapter, I might consider a side story if I want to
