Damon goes to the bar and asks for a drink. Alaric arrives and sits next to him. "I'll have the same." Alaric says. "I screwed up." Damon says. "Yeah. Yeah, you did." Alaric states. Damon goes to the bar and asks for a drink. Alaric arrives and sits next to him. "I'll have the same." Alaric says. "I screwed up." Damon says. "Yeah. Yeah, you did." Alaric states. "Yeah." Damon deadpans. "Gentlemen? Why so glum?" Klaus asks. Klaus is standing next to them at the bar. Alaric and Damon look at him. "Ugh. Klaus, I presume." Damon groans. "In the flesh." Klaus says. He looks at Alaric. "Thanks for the loaner, mate." Klaus says. Damon gets up looking angry. "Any reason you stopped by to say hi?" Damon asks. "I'm told you and your brother fancy my doppelgänger. Just thought I'd remind you to not do anything you'll regret." Klaus says. Damon breaks into a smile at the irony of the comment. "Ha, thanks for the advice. I don't suppose I could talk you into a postponement, by any chance, huh?" Damon asks. "You are kidding?" Klaus asks, he looks at Alaric. "He is kidding, right?" Klaus asks Alaric. "No, not really." Alaric replies, "I mean, come on. What's one month in the whole grand scheme of things?" Damon asks. "Let me be clear... I have my vampire, I have my werewolf, I have everything I need. The ritual will happen tonight. So if you want to live to see tomorrow, don't screw it up." Klaus states he leaves. "That was fun." Damon says. "You're going to screw it up, aren't you?" Alaric asks. Damon looks at him. "You think if I took his werewolf out of the equation. She might... get over the fact that I tried to turn her into a vampire?" Damon asks. "I think it won't matter, because you'll be dead." Alaric says. "But without the werewolf, he can't perform the ritual tonight. Which means I would have bought her one month before the next full moon." Damon says. "And you'll still be dead." Alaric says. "Are you gonna help me or what?" Damon asks. "What do you want me to do?" Alaric asks.

Katherine is looking for a blood bag in the fridge. Artemis is sitting on the couch sketching in her sketchbook. She and Katherine hear a key in the lock. Artemis gets up and goes to Alaric's room. Katherine watches her as she gets up and goes to the door. It's Alaric. He stands outside his apartment without entering. "Look who's dumb enough to come back." Katherine stats. As Artemis listens in, using her magic to slow her heartbeat. "Well, somebody had to invite him in. Damon, would you like to, uh, come in?" Alaric asks. Damon comes in and she rushes over to him. "Are you trying to get me killed?" Katherine asks. He pushes her against the wall. "I gave you vervain. Now I'm here to collect. I got it from here, Rick." Damon says, "You sure?" Alaric asks "Yeah, only one of us needs to get blamed for this. Get back in the house, keep Elena from handing herself over." Damon says. "Okay." Alaric says he leaves. "Get blamed for what?" Katherine asks. "I need to know where Klaus is keeping his werewolf" Damon asks. "Why? What are you going to do?" Katherine asks. "Dead werewolf equals no ritual." Damon says. "No. You can't interfere, Damon. Klaus will kill you and everyone you've ever met." Katherine asks. "I just need to delay this thing." Damon states. "No, no way." Katherine deadpans. "You should like this, it's going to buy another month of your pathetic life." Damon says. "Right, except that I'm not the vampire he's planning on sacrificing." Katherine says. "What?" Damon asks, confused. "Yeah, he's got Caroline Forbes and Tyler Lockwood. Therefore, I'm in the clear." Katherine says. "And where'd he get that idea from?" Damon asks as he walks towards her. She holds her hands up in innocence. "Hey! Hey, hey, hey. I'm just trying to stay alive long enough to get myself out of here." Katherine stats. "What if I told you Elena had vampire blood in her system?" Damon says. "What?!" Katherine exclaims. "Imagine how much fun that will be competing with Elena for Stefan's love for, I don't know, forever." Damon states. "The tomb, he's got them in the tomb." Katherine quickly says. "Thank you." Damon says he leaves.
