Music is playing. Rebekah is having her nails polished by a compelled nail tech. Kol is standing before a full length mirror wearing a black suit while a tailor adjusts it. Finn and Elijah are also standing in the room preparing for the ball. Kol is looking at himself in the mirror. Artemis is sitting next to Rebekah sketching in her sketchbook. "Rebekah, tell me how handsome I am." Kol says. "Ah, Kol, you know I can't be compelled." Rebekah says. Finn and Elijah smile. "I think you look handsome, Uncle Kol." Artemis says. "Well, thank you, Little Witch." Kol says, looking at Rebekah smugly through the mirror. Artemis smiles. The door opens and Klaus walks in and up to Rebekah. "You went after Elena? What is wrong with you?" Klaus asks. "Here we go." Rebekah says. "Do you want another dagger in your heart?" Klaus asks. "Again with the dagger threats? Don't you have any other tricks?" Kol asks. Klaus looks at him. "Oh, go back to staring at yourself." Klaus says. "And who are you, my father?" Kol asks. "No, Kol, but you're in my house." Klaus says. "Then perhaps we should go outside." Kol says. Klaus and Kol stare at each other. Esther walks in. "Enough! Niklaus, come." Esther says. Artemis stares at her not trusting her. As Klaus walks away with Esther, Artemis throws her pencil at the back of Klaus's head for threatening to dagger her aunt and uncle. It bounces off Klaus's head and lands on the ground. Klaus wipes around, Artemis and his siblings stifle a laugh as he playfully glares at Artemis before walking into the next room.

Rebekah and Artemis walk into the grill and go up to the table Elena and Caroline are sitting at. "Careful, Caroline. It's all well and good till she stabs you in the back." Rebekah says. "What are you doing here? I know your mom's rules. No hurting the locals." Elena says. "Get over yourself, Elena. It's not all about you." Rebekah says. "And good thing Esther isn't my mother." Artemis says. They walk over to Matt and give him an invitation. Caroline and Elena look at them. "Oh, my god. She's inviting him to the ball. Why is she inviting him?" Caroline asks. "Probably to get this reaction from us." Elena says. "What time is this stupid dance?" Caroline asks.
