Today was the last paper of the final examination. Dawood and Rubab just came outside of the school after finishing the exam. Rubab was relaxed and happy that finally she finished the examination and all of her papers went well. Yes, she worked hard by following Dawood's instructions and help. For this, she didn't bother to thank him at all. She was ungrateful as always.
" Can you teach me Arabic?" Rubab questioned, holding Dawood's hand.
Dawood chuckled, "Arabic isn't that hard. You know the alphabets. You just need to learn the words and sentence making."
" By the way, all of a sudden you want to learn Arabic! Why?" Dawood raised his curious eyes at her.
Rubab smiled," Well, I want to read your novel."
Dawood let out a chuckle," You don't need to learn Arabic to read my novel. Once I finish it in Arabic, I will translate it to English."
" I don't want to wait. Our vacation is starting tomorrow. So I just wanted to spend the time doing something productive. Learning a new language would be a good idea," Rubab insisted, making an adorable expression.
She added, letting out a mischievous smile," Moreover, I will be able to visit you using this excuse." She brushed her fingers on his arm.
Dawood let out a shy smile," Ok. Fine. You won."
Dawood couldn't resist himself. He agreed to teach her. He didn't want to miss any chance of meeting her, hearing her voice, and kissing her plump lips. Rubab was no fool. She always let Dawood kiss her but never let him go more than that. She was using him, and he was too blind to look into her true intentions. Moreover, Dawood never went far from kissing because he loved her genuinely. He didn’t lust after her. He will have physical relationship with her only if she wants. Otherwise, he won't initiate it till their marriage.
It's been a week since Rubab started learning Arabic from Dawood. She always loved reading books, specifically all those mystery thrillers and romantic spicy books. She was always interested in reading all these books instead of her academic books.
Rubab was using Dawood as much as she wanted while Dawood was falling head over heels for her. With every passing day, he was getting dependent on her presence. Slowly, he was losing his sanity for her. He was behaving as if he would stop breathing if he ever lost her.
Dawood's mother was noticing the changes in him. She was anxious about him and tried every possible way to make him understand reality, but all her attempts went in vain. She told Rubab to stop seeing Dawood, but she did not. Since Dawood's mother stopped her from visiting him in his home, she started meeting him in a nearby cafe.
Just like every afternoon, Dawood was standing in front of the cafe and waiting for Rubab. He was constantly checking his wristwatch. His impatient expression was suggesting how desperate he was becoming to see Rubab. But, a sudden touch on his shoulder made him turn behind.
" Ruhi!" Dawood was surprised a bit. " What's up?" An awkward smile formed at the corner of his lips.
Since he started dating Rubab, he has not met Ruhi at all. He did not even talk to her properly, let alone meet her. He kind of forgot she was his first friend in this unknown place.
" You are waiting for someone?" Ruhi asked even though she knew his answer.
Dawood answered," Well, Rubab is on her way." He asked with curiosity, "Are you here for someone too?"
Ruhi shook her head. For a few seconds, they remained quiet. An awkward silence was created unintentionally. However, Ruhi was the one to break this silence.
