The next day, I walked into school to hear sobbing in one of the empty classes that hasn't been used in years. I opened the door enough to see what was happening. It was Akira, crying. It was too dark to see what she was doing. There was dripping coming from near her. I pulled out my phone and turned on the night vision on the camera. I dropped my phone and gagged as soon as I saw it. It was her arm. It was covered in cuts and blood. The blood was dripping onto the floor. I took a step back but before I knew it I passed out, tripping over my own foot. I woke up in the infirmary, my head hurting. I sat up to see Akira across the room, staring at me. "Akira, I-" She interrupts abruptly, "No. Please. I don't want to talk to you. I'm just here to make sure you're okay. But now that you're awake, it's my time to go." She sighed, walking out the room and carefully closing the door behind her. My head flashes back to the same room she was in before I passed out. I thought to myself if there was something there I needed to find out. I waved the nurse goodbye as I walked back to the room Akira was in. I walked into the room and looked into the desk Akira was sat at. There was blood everywhere inside of the desk. I gagged, pulling out a flashlight to continue investigating. The seat was soaked with her blood and tears. I sighed. I shrieked as she tapped me on the shoulder. "Hey, you're not meant to be here." She whispered, sending shivers down my spine. I shuddered. "Please get away from my desk." She pulled me away, and pushed me out the classroom, shutting the door behind me. I kicked the door in frustration before walking away. As I walked down the hallway, Haru was scoffing at me as I walked to the cafeteria. It was empty, the only people who was there was Akira, sitting in the corner, looking as lonely as ever. I started to wonder if she enjoyed solitude, or she was waiting for somebody to go over to her. I decided to walk over to her, sitting in front of her. She looked up slowly. "Why are you following me?" She asked, her emotion empty and her eyes dull. "Because we're friends. Right?" I commented. "Haru told me what you said about me. I don't see why I should be friends with you." She replied, getting up and walking away. "Hey, wait! What did I say about you?!" I shouted. She ignored me, slamming the door behind her. I slammed my fist on the desk, more frustrated than before. I walked up to Haru, pushing him into the lockers before grabbing his collar. "What did you say about me to Akira?!" I snapped. He sneered. "Oh, don't worry about it. She'll be leaving you alone for now." He laughed. I punched him in the cheek, causing him to fall to the floor. "Hey! I did you a favour!" He groaned. I walked out of the school, heading to Akira's home to apologise. I knocked on the door twice. There was no answer. "Akira? Hello? Are you there..?" I called out. Still, no answer. I tried the door handle, and it opened with a squeak.
