After a tremendous first impression from their freshman goalie, the Colgate Raiders head to Henrietta,New York to play the RIT Tigers tonight inside Gene Polisseni Center. With 15:31 left in the first period, Erik Brown scored to make it 1-0 RIT. With 48 seconds left in the first period, Gabe Valenzuela scored to make it 2-0 Tigers. With 23 seconds left in the first period, Shawn Cameron scored to make it 3-0 RIT. Mitch Benson and Logan Drackett matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 3-0 Tigers it remains heading to the second period. With 10:55 left in the second period, Shawn Cameron scored to make it 4-0 RIT. With 6:13 left in the second period, Erik Brown scored to make it 5-0 Tigers. With 1:41 left in the second period, Tyler Jeanson scored his first goal of the season to make it 5-1 RIT. Benson and Drackett matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, Colgate is struggling to survive down 5-1 heading to the third period. Coach Vaughan pulled Mitch Benson out of the net and so, Andrew Farrier makes his NCAA debut in relief. With 1:13 left in the third period, Erik Brown scored to make it 6-1 Tigers. Logan Drackett finished off the Raiders and RIT cruises to a 6-1 win over Colgate. Colgate dropped to 2-1-0 on the season.
