After letting the game slip away last Saturday, the Colgate Raiders return to Class Of 1965 Arena for the final time this regular season this weekend as they play the capital region portion of ECAC Hockey teams, Union and Rensselaer on senior weekend. With 5:18 left in the first period, Paul McAvoy scored his first goal of the season to make it 1-0 Colgate. Mitch Benson and Darion Hanson matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 1-0 Raiders it remains heading to the second period. With 18:58 left in the second period, Griffin Lunn scored his first goal of the season to make it 2-0 Hamiltonians. With 2:45 left in the second period, Josh McKechney scored his fourth goal of the season to make it 3-0 Colgate. Union Coach Rick Bennett pulled Darion Hanson out of the net and so, Jake Kupsky finished the game in net for the Dutchmen. Benson and Kupsky matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 3-0 Colgate it stands heading to the third period. With 19:03 left in the third period, Adam Dauda scored his fourth goal of the season to make it 4-0 Raiders. With 12:28 left in the third period, Jack Adams scored to make it 4-1 Hamiltonians. With 4:36 left in the third period, Hunter Racine scored his second goal of the season to make it 5-1 Colgate! Andrew Farrier finished off the Dutchmen and Colgate wins 5-1! Colgate improved to 9-19-3 on the season and 6-10-3 in ECAC Hockey play!
