After an extremely disappointing loss last night, the Colgate Raiders head to Ithaca, New York to play the Cornell Big Red on Saturday night at a ruckus Lynah Rink. With 18 minutes left in the first period, Morgan Barron scored to make it 1-0 Cornell. With 4 seconds left in the first period, John Snodgrass scored his second goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. Mitch Benson and Matt Galajda matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, we'll skate to an 1-1, second intermission tie. With 19:45 left in the second period, Paul Meyer scored his first goal of the season to make it 2-1 Colgate. Benson and Galajda matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 2-1 Raiders it remains heading to the third period. Cornell Coach Mike Schafer pulled Matt Galajda out of the net and so, Austin McGrath concludes the game in net for Cornell. With 6:18 left in the third period, Cam Donaldson scored to tie the game 2-2. Benson and McGrath matched zeros for the remainder of regulation so, Colgate and Cornell are tied 2-2 and we'll play extra hockey on this night. With 1:12 left in overtime, John Snodgrass scored his third goal of the season to win the game for the Raiders 3-2! Colgate improved to 7-15-2 on the season and 4-6-2 in ECAC Hockey play!
