Olive had a big personality, and while she was sassy, you, and Jack both knew she would never hit anyone, so you were both shocked when you got a call from the school saying that Olive hit another kid.
You and Jack walked into the school, Jack was already pissed, he was at the studio when he got the call, and while you said you could take care of everything, Jack said he would meet you at the school. You saw Olive sitting in the office, tears streaming down her face, as soon as Jack saw Olive crying, he couldn't help but hide his anger, not wanting to make her more upset. You both walked over to Olive, sitting down next to her.
"What happened Liv?" You asked as she immediately crawled into your lap.
"I-I was running." Olive said, hiccupping as she cried.
"Take your time." Jack said, rubbing her back. The principal walked out of their office.
"Mr. and Mrs. Harlow, if you want to follow me and I can explain what happened and we can discuss our options." They spoke.
"I will be talking to my daughter first, thank you." Jack said dismissing the principle.
"I was running, and I, and I accidently bumped into someone, and, they said that I hit, hit them." Olive said, her tears continuing to cry as you wiped her tears.
"Olive, I need you to be honest with me. Did you hit someone?" Jack asked and Olive immediately shook her head.
"It wasn't on purpose. My toy bumped their arm. I didn't mean to." Olive said, hugging your arm.
"It's okay baby, it was an accident, you aren't in trouble." You told Olive as she nodded slightly.
"Stay here, I'll go talk to the principle." Jack told you, not wanting both of you to leave Olive. You nodded as you continued to try and calm Olive down. Jack walked into the principal's office.
"Why are you saying Olive hit someone?" Jack asked, already defensive.
"Mr. Harlow, Avery told her teacher that Olive hit her with a toy during recess. We contacted Avery's parents, and they will be here shortly if you would like to wait until they are here to discuss but based on Avery's accusations, we need to send Olive home for the rest of the week."
"Olive told me it was an accident. Was there anyone who witnessed this happen?" Jack asked.
"There was one other child who says it wasn't an accident."
"So, no teacher or adult saw it?"
"Unfortunately, no."
"Well, I choose to believe my child, who I know would never hit anyone. You don't need to send her home for the rest of the week, we will be pulling her and Paisley from this school since a teacher was clearly not supervising the children."
"There was a-" Jack cut her off.
"I don't care, they weren't supervising them well enough. I will be pulling both of my daughters out of this school as of today."
"Mr. Harlow, we can discuss a punishment, you don't need to do that."
"I don't need to, but I will be. I will get them the best private teacher by this afternoon. Someone who watches the kids they are teaching." Jack said before walking back out into the waiting area.
"Let's go, we're bringing Paisley home too." Jack said. "We're picking up all of their things too."
"Jack, what did you do?" You asked as you stood up, holding Olive.
"Uh, we'll talk about it later." Jack said.
