You and Jack were taking the kids trick or treating, but Jack had to run to the studio for an hour beforehand. He always tried to take holiday's off, but emergencies happened.
You were doing Paisley's hair, Olive was playing with Hayden, she insisted on helping him get dressed, but it just turned into the two of them playing.
"I thought Daddy was taking us trick or treating," Paisley said, looking at you through the mirror.
"We both are, he'll be home soon, I promise. He should be home any minute," You told her, tightening her ponytail. Paisley nodded before jumping off the counter.
"Mommy, when is Daddy going to be home?" Olive asked, as she walked into the bathroom.
"Soon, want me to do your hair?" You asked Olive, and she nodded, you helped her get onto the counter and started doing her hair.
Just as you were finishing her braids, Paisley heard the garage door open.
"Daddy's home!!" She yelled excitedly, running to the door, you helped Olive down who immediately ran after her sister to go greet their dad. Hayden took a little longer, but he ran, or at least ran as well as he could, after his sisters.
Jack has practically tackled as he walked in the front door.
"Hey, I told you guys I'd be back in time to take you trick or treating," Jack said, hugging them back, and picking up Hayden, "Let's go put costumes on, and then we can go okay?" Jack asked, and the girls nodded and ran to their rooms to get their costumes.
