Mystery Boy's (POV)
I suddenly wake up with a jolt almost falling off the cot.. I look over and see a girl around my age 10 years old sitting in a chair but she's sleeping.. "wait I think to myself has she been here the whole time?"
I'm brought out of my thoughts by the girl waking up as well.. she looks at me then asks "Are you feeling better?"
I just shake my head "Yes." As I go to get up from the cot a wave of pain hits me almost knocking me off my feet.. But a small hand grabs my arm gently and a small gentle voice brings me out of my thoughts.. "I've got you if you want to walk outside. We can go together." I looked down at the girl I protected on the beach a few hours ago and when she smiles at me memories start to flood my mind so fast."
Mystery Boy's Memories
(Y/N) wait up.. I yell at the little girl running ahead of me through the WICKED facility..
"Come on. We need to hurry before Ratman finds us." She tells me.
I remember running the halls of Wicked. I remember Thomas her brother came to me and asked me to Protect her when he was sent into the Maze.
I remember Ratman coming and taking (Y/N). She was so scared, so terrified.. I remember fighting the guards screaming her name.. I remember her coming back to me and she had an extremely high fever..
I remember the look she gave me one of sadness, scared, missing Thomas.. She told me "Wicked gave me a needle and that's how she got this high fever. Ratman and Wicked wanted to activate the special connection between Tommy and her. Don't let Wicked activate our special connection. If they do I could lose my brother or he could lose me." She tells me almost on the verge of tears..
I take her hands in mine and say
"(Y/N) I promise WICKED will lose. They won't activate your special connection with Thomas."
She looks at me one last time and says "Thank You Jaden other than my brother your only person I feel safe with."

Y/N'S (POV)
I look at the boy and a switch flips..
"Jaden?" I ask.. almost to low I'm not sure he heard..
We stop just short of the shoreline where he rescued me hours earlier..
The boy looks at me then pulls me into a hug.. I'm almost to stunned for words.
"How are you here?
How did you escape Wicked?
Were you in a Maze?"
The questions just flow.. I guess I am like Thomas in a way.. asking a lot of questions before I get any answers..
Jaden looks at me then sits down on sand grimacing because of his bruises from the fight only a few hours ago..
He then looks at me and says. "Where do I start?..
Jaden's (POV)
To answer your first question of how am I here at the Safe Haven I did the same thing those other guys attempted..
"You snuck onto the island?" (Y/N) asks me..
"No I tell her.. I went with some people from the facility I was at.. I'm the only survivor left from the Maze I was put in." She looks at me shocked..
"Wicked killed or left everyone in the Maze I came from behind to be killed. I was lucky to get out." I tell (Y/N) with a sigh of relief..
"But when I met Ratman I didn't trust him.. saying we were safe and going onto new lives.. Yeah right.. bunch of Klunk.." I look over at (Y/N) and see she's laughing..
"What are you laughing at?" I ask her.
"You." She tells me. "And how you are using Glader slang." (Y/N) then looks at me with a smile..
I suddenly lean forward and feel our lips touch.
Y/N'S (POV)
Jaden just kissed me.. I feel a smile creep onto my lips it's different from the way Tommy makes me smile..
I lean in again and kiss him.. I watch as he goes down slowly onto the sand and I just lay my head on his chest.
"Why does this feel sweet?" I think to myself..
I look more at his features.. he has light/dark brown hair and hazel eyes, he has a red shirt on, blue jeans and tennis shoes, and a grey jacket..
Suddenly I hear singing and it's Jaden right next to me..
