Life 1 - CH 8

'Why would I ever want to go back to being human?!'

Issei was jubilant as he laughed with a pervy grin.

His bike launched off a hill, flying through the air from how fast he was pedaling down the road.

"I'm going to have a harem!" he exclaimed as he descended toward the ground. "They'll be naked all the time!"

The bike landed with a small thump but kept its high velocity.

"I'm the king of the world!" Issei yelled down the road like a crazy person.

The boy was on cloud nine as he breezed through his assignment.

After he was done, he hurried back to ORC. He was ready for the next task, believing he was a step closer to accomplishing his dream.

"I finished my delivery!" Issei announced as soon as he entered the clubroom.

His eyes were immediately drawn to Rias, who had just finished her shower and only wearing a towel.

"Nicely done. I just have one more job for you to do today." she said, drying her hair with another towel. "Looks like Koneko is double booked with two summon requests."

Issei's eyes swiveled over to Koneko who was currently licking a popsicle.

"Oh." he said, unsure what to think.

Her words didn't match what he was seeing, but he shrugged it off.

"Take one of them and get some practice." Rias revealed her true intentions.

Lame excuse.

"That'd be super rad." Koneko bowed her head toward him.

"Uh, sure. No problem. Ma'am." Issei returned her bow.

He then turned to Rias with a small gleam in his eye.

"So does this mean I'm legit? Am I making a pact?" he asked her.

Rias simply smiled and doesn't answer his question.

Instead, she walked away and grabbed her clothes to get dressed. It doesn't take her long to dress herself and she returned where everyone was waiting for her.

"Akeno." she nodded toward her.

"Hai." Akeno said and she moved to stand in the open space near the president's desk.

Issei stood beside Rias, watching as Akeno performed her spell.

His eyes widened slightly and he gasped as large red magical circle appeared beneath her feet, surrounding her.

"We call that a transportation circle." Rias said and turned to him. "Hold out your left hand for me, if you would."

"Uh....is it going to hurt?" Issei snapped out of his shock and offered her his hand.

Rias stuck out her finger and touch his open hand.

A glowing red symbol appeared on it his palm and she pulled away.

"This is a seal. It serves as proof you're a member of the House of Gremory." she explained and looked up at him. "When you get to the client's location, don't panic. Just do exactly as I told you."

She then closed her eyes, offering him a smile.

"You think you're ready for this?" she asked him.

"Hell yeah." Issei said confidently, a child-like excitement in his eyes.

"Very cute." Rias said with a small chuckle. "All right, make me proud!"

"I will!" Issei said.

As he went to get into the circle, Akeno walked out of it to take her spot at the president's side.
