"Hey, whaddaya say..." Issei spoke, getting the girl's attention. "The weather sure is nice out here, am I right?"
Issei grimaced on the inside.
'I just sounded like my grandmother!'
He gave her his friendliest smile.
"Umm....I'm sorry but-" there was an embrassed blush on her face and she twiddled her fingers shyly. "I'm a little bit lost, do you think you could help me out?"
"Uhh...." Issei stumbled. "Sure?"
"Great!" she folded her hands in thanks.
She smiled and laughed joyfully.
Issei scratched his cheek, blushing a little.
"Well, let's get get going, yeah?" he said. "You look like you're going to church."
"Yes!" the blonde girl said as she grabbed her bag.
"Okay." Issei was confused but didn't question her.
They began to walk down the road, opposite of where the school was.
Issei knew he getting detention, but he didn't care.
It was worth it if he got to escort a super hot girl around town.
"So...are you a tourist?" he asked her.
"Oh no, not at all." the girl answered. "As a matter of fact, I was just assigned to serve the Church in this town."
"Right, so you are a nun, then." he replied. "That explains your uniform."
"I'm so glad I ran into someone kind like you..." a slight blush appeared on her cheeks as she stared at the ground. "I guess someone is looking out for me, huh?"
She looked at him with a smile.
"Yeah." Issei smiled back.
He noticed something shining on her neck.
A silver cross gleamed in the sun.
Issei subconsciously looked away.
"Is everything okay?" the blonde asked with concern.
She noticed the sudden change in his mood.
"Oh, yeah..." Issei forced himself to smile. "It's all good."
'What in the heck was that?' he thought to himself, getting bad vibes from the necklace.
He was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard someone crying.
The nun heard it too.
Filled with worry, she took off in the direction it was coming from.
It sounded like a little boy.
"Hey, wait a minute!" Issei tried to stop her, but was too late.
Up ahead, was a little boy on the ground, crying with a bruised knee.
"A big boy like you shouldn't cry over a scrape." the blonde nun kneeled beside him. "Don't worry, you're gonna be fine."
She placed a comforting hand on his head.
He stopped when he saw a green light emitting from her hands.
In fascination, he watched as the scrape began to disappear.
"Whoa...." Issei said to himself, equally fascinated by it. "She healed him."
His hand suddenly pulsed and he grunted, grasping it in his other hand.
