Maluwang ang venue kung saan ginanap ang debut ni Elena. Their house was on the top of the hill in Awai. Kita ang buong bayan ng San Jacinto mula rito. At dahil gabi na, the city lights were like stars around. Idagdag pa na maganda ang panahon kaya kitang kita rin ang buwan at mga bituin sa langit. This is a perfect spot for this kind of event.
The tables and chairs were decorated with shiny cloth. Ang stage sa harap ay may pangalan ni Elena na gawa sa glitters. The backdrop was made so simple yet so elegant with it's gold and silver color combination.
Almost all the students in our school were there. Even the emcee is our subject teacher in Piling Larang.
I wore one of the dress I bought last time with Noah. Pati ang ibang teachers ay invited. And I heard, Noah's invited too. Ang dahilan? Elena has a slight crush on him.
Sabagay, hindi naman niya nakita iyong nangyari sa quiz bee. Hindi rin naman kami halata pa dahil naguumpisa pa lang kami. And who will think that we have something, right?
Nalaman ko iyon sa mga classmates niya na sinalubong kami pagdating. They were all gushing about it.
"Oo nga! She'll confess later!" Said one of her friends.
Nagkatinginan kami nila Leo. He is worried about my reaction. While I caught Angela smirking.
"But there were other teachers," sabi ko na parang iyon lang ang dahilan para hindi matuloy ang confession na mangyayari.
Tumingin sila lahat sa akin na natatawa. Like what I've just said didn't matter and it's not really a problem.
"Paghanga lang naman, Sylvester. And for sure, okay lang iyon. Elena won't expect something from Sir Noah after her confession," said one of Elena's classmate.
Yeah, right. She'll just confess. Bakit ba parang apektado ako? It's not Noah's doing. It's not his fault that he's very attractive to his students.
Pumunta na kami sa assigned seats para sa amin. We are two tables away from where Noah's table is. Kasama niya sa table ang mga teachers. He said he's not coming but he changed his mind when he found out I was coming.
Ako:
Bakit hindi mo sinabi sa'kin?
Noah:
I thought you already knew about this. You have your invitation.
Right. Pero late ko na nakuha!
Hindi ko na iyon sinabi. I was just annoyed with the thought that he's coming to a party I didn't know. Late lang pala akong nainvite. Siyempre ay busy ako sakanya.
Relax, Syl. So what if he's coming to a party without saying it to you?
Iritado na nga akong umalis ng bahay, lalo pa akong nairita sa nalaman. Noah said he'll come to pick me up pero tumanggi ako at sumabay kina Leo. He said he'll meet me there.
Pero nakaupo na ako't lahat lahat, ni hindi namna niya ako sinalubong. I looked at their table, and I saw him talking to Elena's parents! Ang principal ng isang elementary school na malapit sa school namin!
They're not just talking to Noah because obviously all the teachers from our school are in their table. But it looks like they're very fond of Noah at kung makangiti siya rito ay parang may kung ano.
Did Elena tell her parents about Noah?
Sumasama ang timpla ko sa naiisip. There's nothing to worry about. If Noah really likes me, then I really have nothing to worry about. I just have to put my trust on him and really hope that his feelings for me won't waver.
