"Go find him." Leia had told her daughter, watching as she nervously went to inch to the door as the ship went through light space. "Give your old mother a few minutes alone."

"He didn't... He didn't mean for all of this mom." Padme said softly, trying to find a way to justify her friends actions from earlier. "He's just-"

"-As headstrong as you." Leia said with a small smile pointed to her daughter. "I know he didn't, but you also known action has to be taken."

Padme nodded reluctantly but her mother walked over and took her daughters hands in hers.

"War is hard on the best of us, Memé." Leia said, using her childhood nickname for the girl as she spoke. "And the best of us have to do hard things and still remember that even in war, there are consequences."

"I know mom." Padme said quietly with a small nod.

"Now go find your hard headed pilot." Leia commanded, pointing to the door. "Before he tears down this door looking for you. And tell him I need to talk to him."

With one small glance back at her mother, Padme slipped from the room, leaving Leia to her own contemplation. And missing when she had a hard headed pilot to go find herself.

When Poe's eyes landed on Padme, he was ashamed to say he forgot all about Finn who was changing into a spare pair of clothes after getting out of his aqua suit. When her searching eyes landed on him, he couldn't help picking up his pace to meet her half way, relishing in the fact that she did as well.

"You stupid man, Flyboy." Padme said as she launched herself into his waiting arms.

"I'm sorry." Poe responded immediately, never usually one to apologise but Padme made him try a lot of things he didn't usually do.

"You did what you thought was right, Poe." Padme said and Poe let out a sigh of relief before she pulled away and slapped him across the face. "But never disobey me or my mother ever again."

"Note taken." Poe said, clutching the side of his face which stung slightly from the slap. "But to make you more happy, guess who was naked and leaking in a bag the second landed!"

"If this is some fucked up joke-"

"Yeah, that was a bad way to phrase it." Poe winced slightly, rubbing the back of his head as he remembered what he just said. "What I mean was, Finn's awake!"

"What?" Padme asked, eyes widening. "I told those med droids to tell me if... oh my god am I gonna kick some robot ass-"

"Hey don't do that on account of me." A voice said and Padme saw that the Ex-Stormtrooper in question, now in actual clothes, was right behind Poe. "Thanks for leaving me there, Dameron."

"Hey I had to see my girl." Poe said with a shrug but his eyes widened considerably as Padme rushed passed him at a frightening speed and immediately jumped at Finn who luckily caught her and reciprocated the hug with a small laugh.

"I miss you to, Pads." Finn said, smiling as he set the General down and she slapped him just as she had done to Poe. 

"Never scare me like that again." She warned, pointing a finger at him as he held his cheek and looked at Poe who shrugged.
