When he said her name it sounded so good to her. Was it his accent? Was it the way that her named rolled off of his tongue like melted butter? She didn't know but she knew she liked it more than she thought she should.

"I'll take that as you have no idea what you're doing today?" Alacai looked at Love who suddenly realized she hadn't answered his question. But, truthfully Love didn't know what to say. What were her plans? Perhaps going to get her cellphone from her- She couldn't get her phone. She had forgotten her parents had taken it back since she was on their family plan. She no longer had access to it.

"I have to go get me a new phone. It would be nice to have one." Alacai hummed along as he looked at the female across from him.

"I'll buy it." He stated making Love shake her head "It isn't a debate nor a discussion. I'll be right back we will go buy you a new phone." Alacai walked out of the kitchen and disappeared into the hallways.

Love was one step ahead of him though. She made her way to the front of the house where she ran into the driver for the SUV "Can we go to the phone store?" The drive, Ray nodded his head smoothly as Love was escorted into the SUV before it took off towards a phone store.

She walked through the isles of phones trying to find her old phone brand. She had already been here for 15 minutes when a store employee finally approached her "Miss. Your husband wanted me to inform you that he has just bought your phone and is at the front waiting for you." Love turned around and saw Alacai standing there with a box in his hands and a grin plastered on his face.

"Thank you." Love walked past the employee towards Alacai.

"My drivers work for me. I called him the second I saw the car leave." Love scoffed "Don't tell me I won't be able to leave the house by myself?" Alacai snorted.

"Listen sweets. I didn't follow you for fun. I followed you to pay. A man never let's a woman pay. Now can we leave or do you want to continue this conversation?" Love took the box from Alacai and let him lead her out of the store.

"After you." Alacai opened the passenger side door for Love, she raised an eyebrow "You drive a truck?" Alacai shrugged his shoulders.

"Is that so odd?" Alacai was curious as to what her answer would be but instead of answering the question Love merely just crawled into the seat and sat back.

The car ride was quiet. Neither of the young adults in the vehicle bothered to try and start a conversation. Love sat there updating the new phone she had just gotten, downloading any app she may need and trying to remember phone numbers. Alacai would occasionally glance over at the woman in his passenger seat.

Alacai didn't think she was bad at all. Love was good company to him already and apart of that scared him. She was quiet, smart and was kind. That was different for him, most girls would lunge themselves at Alacai due to his family wealth and most of the time were harsh with him when he rejected them. Love seemed so interested but yet disinterested in him all at the same time and made him even more intrigued. This was arranged and he knew Love hated it.. that would be biggest complication.

"Why did buy this for me?" Alacai looked at the woman confused- her question caught him off guard.

"Are you expecting something in return?" Alacai's eyes widened before he regained his composure "Hell no. What? Love I did that for you because if you are to marry me you must understand that I'm here for you. Besides, I've already told you a woman never pays."

"Marry you? What is this exactly?" Love wanted to know what she was in the middle of "It's a thing my family does- we pick our wives." Alacai felt heat in his chest as he feared where this might go "Like randomly? Off the street or like Facebook?" She inquired.

"No, typically families bring their daughters of the same wealth to a dinner or a brunch and I mingle." Alacai suddenly realized what it felt like to feel awkward.

"I didn't go to one of those." Alacai nodded in agreeance to that statement "I saw you outside of a market.. you looked interesting." Love quietly hummed as she tried to hide a small smile.

Someone like him picked a girl like her- she didn't know if she should feel honored like she does or creeped out.
