A little girl was outside, skipping through the forest. She had some part of her reddish hair tied into two small braids on both sides of her head. The rest of her hair is tied into a mid-high ponytail, with the braids connected to it. She also has blue eyes, as she is currently wearing a simple, soft maroon shirt and brown skirt with boots.

Suddenly, she heard rustling, making her scared as she looked around. Her father has told her and her brother about dragons, how big and scary they can be. Her breath hitched as she trembled in fear; she slowly walked backwards towards her home while the noises continued. A small roar was heard as a creature popped out, making her fall on her butt and cover her face.

But nothing happened; the girl was confused, as she cautiously peeked through her hands to see what it was. In front of us was a beautiful white pearl-colored dragon, but it was not big, nor was it scary. In fact, it was small, meaning it was young, and it was curiously looking at her with its beautiful light blue eyes, as it sparkled in curiosity of the young human girl in front of it. It slowly walked up to her face and sniffed her, making the girl back away nervously. The little dragon tilted its head at the little girl as she slightly calmed down.

"H-Hi..." She nervously waved, offering a sheepish wave.

The dragon went up and licked her face, making her laugh at the feeling.

"Hey! That tickles!!" She said.

"Valerie!" A male shouted, making the dragon slightly jump.

It then ran off and jumped into the bushes where it came from.

"Wait!" She called out, but the dragon was already gone.

A man with the same hair color as the girl's appeared, pushing a branch out of his way, but he had green eyes. He looked around before his eyes landed on her, his gaze softening.

"There you are!" He said, as he walked to her and gently picked her up. "Your brother and I were so worried, why are you here?"

Valerie was quiet, not sure what to tell her father, before answering

"I-I...wanted to explore." She lied.

Her father sighed, slightly irritated, before calming down, gazing at his daughter with a smile.

"Next time, be careful not to wander off too far and let me know."

"Yes, Dad."

"Now come on, let's go home." He softly said, as he carried her.

He slowly started to walk out of the forest, and Valerie looked at where the dragon went as they left. She wondered what that dragon was and if she would ever see it again before her eyes brimmed with determination.

'We'll meet one day again.' She silently promised.
