A ship with its sail showing a painted dragon, with two swords stabbed into it, floats across the seas, followed by some other ships. Stoick is currently scanning his map as he traces his hand over it.

"I can almost smell them; they're close." He said, as he raised his gaze to a huge fog bank. "Steady."

They looked to see cliffs peeking out of the fog bank.

"Take us in." Stoick ordered.

"Hard to port...for Helheim's gate..." The man stirring his ship said, stirring it into the fog as all the other ships followed.

As they entered, a flash of light appeared, followed by a silhouette of a dragon as screams were heard, followed by more flashes.

Meanwhile, back at Berk, in the arena, Hiccup is currently holding his axe and shield, asking Gobber.

"Hey, you know, Val and I just happened to notice the book had nothing on Night Furies, is there like another book? Or a sequel? Maybe a little Night Fury pamphlet?-" Hiccup asks, as his twin grabs his arm.

A blast almost hit him as Valerie pulled him away, as it instead took the axe head off of Hiccup's hilt, leaving a smoking hole behind the wall behind him.

"Focus, Hiccup!" Gobber yelled, as Hiccup and Valerie yelped as a blue Deadly Nadder spotted them. "You're not even trying!"

It followed them as the Haddock twins ran away; the arena was changed into a maze-like arrangement of moveable walls.

"Today, it's all about ATTACK!" Gobber shouts, as the Deadly Nadder hops from wall to wall, sending the recruits scurrying. "Nadders are quick and light on their feet! Your job is to be quicker and lighter!"

Fishlegs and Eira ended up running towards the Nadder, as it raise's it's spikey tail and shoots spikes at him. The two of them ran away while Fishlegs screamed as they covered themselves with their shields.

"I'm really beginning to question your teaching methods!" He yelled, as he narrowly avoided the Nadder's spikes.

"You're beginning to? I've been questioning them since day one!" Eira yelled.

Meanwhile, Gobber was standing on a perch above the arena.

"Look for its blind spot! Every dragon has one, find it, hide in it, and strike!" He said, bored, as the teen tried to avoid the dragon.

Ruffnut and Tuffnut were running before stopping when they came face to face with the Nadder. They stopped in front of its blind spot, which was in front of its snout. The Nadder sniffs the air, but it apparently can't see them. Ruffnut then groaned at the smell of her twin.

"Ooh! Do you ever bathe?" She asks, as they continue to hide in the Nadder's blind spot.

"If you don't like then just get your own blind spot!" Tuffnut said, shoving his sister before being shoved by her again.

"How about I give you one?!" Ruffnut shouted, as they shoved each other back and forth before hearing a growl from the dragon.

Their movements and noise gave them away, as the Nadder, now aware they were there, fired at them. Luckily, the two of them scurry away.

"Blind spot, yes, deaf spot? Not so much." Gobber said, as he laughed.

Meanwhile, Valerie continued running, not realizing she had gotten separated from her brother, as she stopped running and looked up.
