At this point, the sun had fully risen into the sky, lighting it up, and smoke came from the chimney of the forge. Valerie is pressing down on the bellows, grunting as she does so, currently melting some iron in a pot that was sitting on top of the burning coal. She then grabbed the pot with some metal tweezers and poured it carefully into a huge round mold. Gobber then grabbed the mold, grunting, and carried it away, as Valerie put the pot and tweezers into a barrel of water so they could cool down, before rushing past in front of Gobber to grab some tools.

"Ah, don't take it to heart, lassie." Gobber said, placing the mold onto a table before opening it, revealing the steaming sword blade. "It's his job to be tough on everyone."

"Hiccup and I are not everyone!" Valerie spat, grabbing some tweezers. "But it doesn't matter..."

She then sighs, places the tweezers back, looks towards her right, and takes the tweezers hanging from the wall.

"Dad, regardless, is impossible to please, and getting him to listen is easier said than done." Valerie said, throwing the tweezers as Gobber caught them.

He then carefully took the sword blade out of the mold, using the tweezers.

"He just doesn't want to appear to be playing favorites." Gobber said as he started moving to the forging area.

"Well, he's certainly covered in that department, believe me." Valerie dully said.

She then ran past Gobber and headed towards the anvil.

"If Hiccup and I didn't live in the same house with him, we wouldn't even know he was our father, especially Hiccup, since he only has Dad's eyes and not his hair color." Valerie said, dusting the anvil clean of any metal scraps.

Gobber slammed the sword against the anvil without warning Valerie; luckily, she backed away in time.

"Have you two told him that?" Gobber questioned, holding out his prosthetic hand.

"Well, of course not!" Valerie said, quickly changing his prosthetic to a forging hammer with no problems.

Gobber then hit the sword with his hammer while Valerie was standing at the other side of the anvil, holding the handle of the sword with her gloves on, and rotated it while Gobber hit it with his hammer.

"The first thing to do would be to get him to at least listen." Valerie said, as she continued to rotate the sword. "And as I said, easier said than done.

Gobber sonorously laughed as he then stopped hammering and turned to her.

"Ah, your father is always like that!" He said. "Whenever you and your brother do something that somehow manages to cause chaos, he just doesn't know how to react."

"Gee, thanks." Valerie sarcastically.

"No, I mean there's the Viking way, and then there's yours and your brother's way." Gobber said, pointing at Valerie with his hammer hand. "And your's and your brother's way makes grown men uncomfortable."

"Speaking of uncomfortable, I'd like a new conversation, please." Valerie dully said. "Can we change the topic?"

"All right, have you and your brother found someone?" Gobber asks, smiling deviously at Valerie

"Oh yeah, way to get the mood back on..." Valerie said with sass.

"Oh, c'mon, I've seen the way you look at Fabjorn." Gobber insisted.
