As the days passed by without any contact from Freen, Becky couldn't help but feel a void in her heart. She missed the presence of Freen, and their daily interactions had become something she looked forward to. Whether it was Freen picking her up for college or spending time together at Becky's home, Freen's company had become an essential part of her life.

But this week was different, and Becky had been informed that Freen had to go outstation for her job. Knowing how busy Freen was with her surgeries and coursework, Becky tried to be understanding and give her the space she needed to focus on her work. Still, it didn't stop her from missing Freen terribly.

Every day felt a little empty without Freen's cheerful greetings and warm smiles. Becky found herself constantly checking her phone, hoping for a message or call from Freen. But each time, she was met with disappointment as her phone remained silent.

As the week went on, Becky tried to keep herself busy with her studies and other activities to distract herself from the longing she felt for Freen's presence. But no matter what she did, her thoughts kept drifting back to Freen.

One evening, unable to bear the silence any longer, Becky decided to send Freen a message. She knew Freen was busy, but she couldn't help but express how much she missed her. With a mix of hope and hesitation, she typed out her feelings and hit send.

The minutes felt like hours as Becky anxiously waited for a response. Her heart leaped with joy when she finally saw Freen's name pop up on her screen. Freen had replied, and even though it was a short message, it meant the world to Becky. Freen apologized for being busy and promised to catch up with her soon.

Becky had been thinking about surprising Freen all morning. She knew how hectic and demanding Freen's job was, and she wanted to do something special for her to show her appreciation. So, during her break, she went to a nearby restaurant and got Freen's favorite meal. With a smile on her face, she made her way to the hospital where Freen worked, excited to surprise her.

As Becky arrived at the hospital, she noticed the busy atmosphere with doctors, nurses, and interns rushing around. She asked a nurse for Freen's location, and she directed her to the cafeteria on the third floor.

As she approached the cafeteria, Becky's heart fluttered with anticipation. She spotted Freen sitting at a table, engrossed in a conversation with a couple of interns and a nurse. Becky felt a pang of jealousy when she noticed the nurse giggling and flirting with Freen.

She hesitated for a moment, not wanting to interrupt, but she mustered up the courage to walk over to them. As she got closer, she saw the interns and the nurse handing their lunch boxes to Freen, clearly trying to get her attention.

Trying not to let her emotions show, Becky tried to slip away quietly and let Freen enjoy her time with her colleagues. But before she could leave, she felt a gentle touch on her hand. She turned to see Freen looking at her with a warm smile.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Freen asked, her voice filled with genuine surprise and happiness.

Becky blushed, feeling a little flustered. "Oh, I, uh, just wanted to bring you lunch. Thought you might be hungry with your busy schedule."

Freen's smile widened, and she looked touched by Becky's thoughtful gesture. "That's incredibly sweet of you. Thank you," she said, her eyes never leaving Becky's.

Becky handed the lunch box to Freen, and she noticed the slight blush on Freen's cheeks as their fingers briefly brushed against each other. It made her heart skip a beat.

Without hesitation, Freen opened the lunch box and saw her favorite meal inside. "You remembered!" she exclaimed, looking genuinely thrilled.

Becky nodded, feeling a sense of relief that Freen appreciated the surprise. "Of course, I remember. I pay attention to the little things," she replied, trying to sound nonchalant.
