Becky had always been a kind-hearted and friendly girl, but her life took an unexpected turn when she unintentionally became the target of bullying at school. The source of the bullying was a group of girls known as the "pick me girls," who sought attention and validation by trying to get close to the popular and charming Nop.

It all started with a harmless rumor. One day, Becky was seen talking to Nop after their biology class, asking for help with an assignment. Little did she know that this innocent interaction would lead to a storm of gossip and jealousy.

The pick me girls quickly latched onto the rumor, spreading it like wildfire throughout the school. They started making snide comments about Becky, implying that she was trying to get Nop's attention and that she was using him to boost her own popularity. The bullying intensified with each passing day, fueled by their desire to be the center of Nop's attention.

At first, Becky tried to ignore the hurtful remarks and brush off the bullying, hoping that it would eventually stop. She knew the rumors weren't true, and she had no romantic interest in Nop.

Becky walked into the school hallway, her heart sinking as she noticed the group of girls huddled together, whispering and glancing in her direction. She knew exactly what was going on—they were the pick me girls, and she had become their latest target.

As Becky passed by, one of the girls, Faye, called out mockingly, "Hey, look who it is—Becky, the Nop chaser!"

The other girls giggled, their eyes filled with malice. "Yeah, I heard she's trying to get close to Nop to boost her popularity."

Becky tried to ignore the hurtful comments, walking with her head held high. She knew the rumors were far from the truth and they were barely acquaintances.

But the pick me girls were relentless. They continued to taunt her, making snide remarks and spreading malicious rumors throughout the school. Soon, even students who didn't know Becky personally began giving her judgmental looks, fueling the fire of the false accusations.

One afternoon, as Becky was leaving her art class, she found herself face-to-face with Lisa and her gang. Lisa wore a smug smile, clearly relishing in the opportunity to torment her.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the Nop chaser," Faye sneered, crossing her arms. "You think you can just cozy up to him and become popular? Newsflash, Becky, it's not going to work."

Becky took a deep breath, refusing to let Lisa's words get to her. "You're mistaken, Faye. I'm not trying to get close to Nop for popularity. We're just classmates."

Lisa laughed sarcastically. "Yeah, right. As if he would want anything to do with you. You're just a nobody."

Becky felt a lump forming in her throat, but she refused to show weakness in front of her tormentors. "You can believe whatever you want, but it won't change the truth. I'm not interested in Nop that way."

One of Faye's friends chimed in, her voice dripping with venom. "Oh, please. We all know the truth, and we won't stop until you're exposed for the fake you are."

Becky felt tears threatening to spill from her eyes, but she clenched her fists, determined not to let them see her break. "You're the ones spreading lies about me. I haven't done anything wrong, and I won't let your bullying define me."

Faye stepped closer, her face inches from Becky's. "You think you're so tough? Let's see how tough you are after we're done with you."

Before Faye could follow through on her threat, a firm hand reached out, grabbing her wrist. It was Nop, who had been walking behind Becky and had witnessed the confrontation.
