The atmosphere in the mock courtroom was tense, with students playing the roles of attorneys, witnesses, and the judge. Becky, dressed in a sharp suit, was representing the plaintiff in the case, and she was determined to do her best.

As the trial proceeded, Becky showcased her legal skills and knowledge, presenting her arguments eloquently and cross-examining the witnesses with precision. She felt a rush of adrenaline as she navigated through the courtroom proceedings, fully immersing herself in the mock trial experience.

Lecturer: "Ms. Becky, the prosecution has presented compelling evidence against your client. How do you plan to counter their case?"

Becky: "Your Honor, while the prosecution's evidence may appear convincing at first glance, it lacks the necessary credibility to establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. We must remember that the burden of proof lies with the prosecution, and they have not met that standard in this case. There are reasonable doubts surrounding the reliability of their witnesses and the chain of custody of the evidence."

Lecturer: "Very well, Ms. Becky. What about the eyewitness testimony? They claim to have seen the defendant at the scene of the crime."

Becky: "Your Honor, eyewitness testimony can be notoriously unreliable. Studies have shown that memory can be influenced by various factors such as stress, suggestion, and the passage of time. We intend to challenge the credibility of these witnesses, showing that their recollections may not be as accurate as they claim."

As the mock trial progressed, Becky eloquently presented her case, using sound legal principles, logical arguments, and persuasive language. Her classmates were impressed by her quick thinking and ability to think on her feet. The courtroom atmosphere became charged as Becky countered each point raised by the prosecution, staying composed and confident throughout.

Lecturer: "Well done, Ms. Becky. Your defense strategy is sound, and you've presented your case effectively. It's evident that you've put in a lot of effort in your preparation."

Becky smiled, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. It was a challenging experience, but she was glad that her hard work had paid off.

As soon as Becky's mock trial came to an end, she couldn't wait to share her accomplishment with Freen. With a wide smile on her face, she took out her phone and quickly composed a text message.

Becky (texting): "Hey Freen! Just finished my mock trial, and it went amazingly well! I nailed the defense argument, and the lecturer was impressed. Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement throughout this preparation. You really helped me stay focused and confident. 😊"

As she hit send, Becky's mind wandered back to the late-night phone call with Freen during her preparation for the mock trial. She had been feeling overwhelmed and unsure of herself, questioning her abilities and feeling the weight of the responsibility on her shoulders. But Freen had been there for her, lending a listening ear and offering words of reassurance.

Flashback:

Becky: (voice trembling) "Freen, I'm so stressed and nervous about the mock trial. What if I mess up? What if I don't do a good job defending the case?"

Freen: (calmly) "Hey, don't worry so much. You've worked hard, and you know your stuff. You can do this, Becky. Just take a deep breath, believe in yourself, and trust your abilities. I believe in you, and I know you can do it."

Becky: (sniffling) "Thanks, Freen. I really needed to hear that. I just want to do well and make everyone proud."

Freen: "You will, Becky. I have no doubt about it. Remember, I'm here for you every step of the way. We can study together, and I'll be cheering you on during the mock trial. You're not alone in this."
