Becky's eyes fluttered open as the soft morning light filtered through the curtains. She found herself in a warm embrace, Freen's body pressed against hers as they lay tangled together. Looking down, she saw Freen's peaceful expression as she slept, her features relaxed and free from the worries that had plagued her earlier.
A small smile played on Becky's lips as she remembered the moments they had shared during this trip. The adventure, the laughter, the unspoken understanding that had grown between them. She couldn't deny the warmth that had bloomed within her heart, a feeling that extended beyond friendship.
As she looked at Freen, snuggled against her, Becky's heart swelled with appreciation for the love and care Freen had shown her. The way Freen had protected her, comforted her, and opened up about her own fears and past traumas. It was a gesture of vulnerability that had brought them closer together.
Gently pushing a strand of hair away from Freen's forehead, Becky leaned down and pressed a tender kiss there. It was an affectionate gesture, a silent promise that she was willing to give this newfound connection a chance. She had been guarded, hesitant to let someone in after her past relationship, but Freen had shown her a different side of love.
"Hey, sleepyhead," Becky murmured softly, her fingers tracing light patterns on Freen's arm.
Freen stirred, her eyes fluttering open as she blinked in the morning light. A sleepy smile tugged at her lips as she looked up at Becky. "Morning," she replied, her voice still heavy with sleep.
"We're going to need to get up soon," Becky said with a playful glint in her eyes. "Our flight back home is waiting for us."
Freen let out a contented sigh, her fingers lightly tracing circles on Becky's waist. "I could stay like this forever," she admitted, her gaze softening as she looked into Becky's eyes.
Becky chuckled softly, feeling a warmth spreading through her chest. "As much as I'd love that, reality is calling," she said, giving Freen a gentle nudge.
With a reluctant sigh, Freen shifted, stretching her arms above her head. "You're right, of course," she conceded, her smile still lingering.
As they slowly untangled themselves from each other's embrace, Freen sat up and rubbed her eyes, fully awake now. "Thank you, Becky. For everything," she said earnestly, her gaze locked onto Becky's.
Becky reached out and gave Freen's hand a reassuring squeeze. "Thank you too, Freen. For being there for me and for showing me that there's something worth exploring here," she admitted, her cheeks tinged with a soft blush.
Freen's smile grew wider, a mixture of relief and happiness evident in her eyes. "I'm glad to hear that," she said, her voice laced with sincerity.
Freen POV
As we settled into our seats on the airplane, I couldn't help but feel a growing sense of happiness and contentment. Becky's presence beside me was comforting, and her playful teasing and affectionate gestures warmed my heart. Her hand was securely holding mine, and she seemed perfectly at ease with showing her affection.
I glanced over at her, and she caught my gaze, giving me a mischievous grin. "You know, Freen, you're stuck with me now," she teased, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
I chuckled softly, my cheeks turning a shade of pink. "Oh, am I?" I replied, playing along with her.
She nodded, still grinning. "Yep, consider this your probation period," she continued in a mock serious tone. "You have to prove yourself if you want to court me."
Her words took me by surprise, and I could feel my heart skipping a beat. Court her? It was a term that felt old-fashioned, but in Becky's playful tone, it held a certain charm. Her openness to giving our connection a chance was both unexpected and incredibly exciting.
