Freen blinked in surprise as she saw Becky walk into her room with a tray of food and a thermometer in hand. "You're still here?" Freen asked, her voice raspy from sleep.
Becky smiled gently, "Of course, silly. I'm not leaving you when you're sick."
Freen couldn't help but feel a wave of warmth wash over her at Becky's caring gesture. She appreciated Becky's attentiveness and concern. "I'm sorry for worrying you last night," Freen said, feeling a twinge of guilt.
"Don't be sorry," Becky replied, setting the tray down on the bedside table. "You were going through a tough time, and it's understandable. I'm just glad I could be here for you."
Becky then picked up the thermometer and placed it on Freen's forehead, checking her temperature. "You still have a fever," she said softly. "I'll stay here with you today, and you don't have to worry about going to the hospital. I already informed Nam about your condition."
Freen smiled gratefully at Becky, feeling a sense of comfort knowing that she didn't have to face her illness alone. "Thank you," she said sincerely. "You're really taking good care of me."
Becky blushed slightly at the praise, "Well, I'm trying my best. I made some porridge for you too. I hope it tastes alright."
Freen chuckled, "I'm sure it's delicious. You're being too hard on yourself, you know. I'm sure it's perfect."
Becky laughed softly, "You're just saying that to make me feel better."
Freen reached out and took Becky's hand in her own, giving it a gentle squeeze. "No, I mean it," she said earnestly. "Having you here with me, taking care of me like this, it means a lot to me."
Becky smiled warmly, her cheeks still tinged with a hint of pink. "I'm glad I can be here for you," she said softly.
As Freen ate the porridge that Becky had prepared, she couldn't help but be grateful for the girl sitting beside her. Despite the difficult circumstances and the complexities of their feelings, there was something undeniably special about their connection.
After they finished the meal, Becky insisted on staying with Freen for a while longer to make sure she was alright. Freen didn't protest, secretly enjoying the company and attention. They chatted about simple things, and Freen found herself feeling more at ease, forgetting about her earlier worries.
Freen POV
Amidst the chaos of flour and chocolate powder flying through the air, Freen and Becky couldn't stop laughing as they playfully engaged in their baking escapade. Their carefree laughter filled the room, creating a joyous atmosphere as they both let go of their worries and responsibilities for a while.
"You asked for it!" Becky shouted playfully, throwing a handful of flour towards Freen.
Freen quickly dodged, trying to retaliate with her own handful of flour, but Becky managed to avoid it with a giggle. The kitchen turned into a messy battleground, but they were having the time of their lives.
The two friends continued to chase each other around, their faces covered in a dusting of flour, and their clothes adorned with smudges of chocolate. Suddenly, Becky picked up an egg and pretended to throw it at Freen, causing Freen to let out a mock gasp.
"Oh no, not the egg!" Freen exclaimed, pretending to shield herself from the imaginary projectile.
But as Becky mimicked the motion of throwing the egg, she accidentally dropped it on the floor, causing her to lose her footing. Freen instinctively lunged forward to catch her, but in the process, they both slipped on the flour-covered floor.
