Sunlight streamed through the gap in the curtain. I opened my eyes, smiling, blissfully happy. That joy made me feel like I was floating. I glanced at the digital clock on the nightstand. It was half eight. We had a flight to catch at 1pm. I sighed when I felt Josh's hand touch my hair, running his fingers through it.

"Awake early?" I asked.

"Yeah, again just creepily watchin' you sleep." He said.

"Not creepy." I protested.

"You didn't see the way I was starin'," Josh chuckled. "It was like that scene from Paranormal Activity."

I giggled at that. His hand moved from my hair, fingers tracing down the bare skin on my upper arm. I looked at his hand, smiling when I saw his wedding ring. I'd chosen it and I felt that giddy joy well in me again. His hand moved up my arm, coming to hold my shoulder, rubbing it.

"You're not creepy." I laughed.

"I dunno," Josh said. "I've always looked a little dead behind the eyes."

"Resting bitch face." I giggled.

"Excuse me, little mouse," He said, and I smiled when he laughed. "I do not have resting bitch face."

"It's ok," I said, still giggling. "You don't have it when you smirk."

"I don't have it at all," Josh said, and I smiled when he turned me to face him. Even in the mornings, he looked good. "See, I have a normal face."

"Smile?" I asked.

"Not on command, little mouse." He said.

"Meanie." I insisted, and he smirked.

"Breakin' my heart." He said.

"But I like it when you smile." I said, softly, looking at him.

He leaned slightly to rest his forehead against mine, eyes locked on my own. Was he really my husband? He was stunning. I smiled and he sighed, smiling at last. I lifted my hand, touching his face. His hand lifted, holding my hand and pressing a kiss to the inside of my wrist. I shifted closer, snuggling up to him. His arm wrapped around.

"Never thought I'd ever get married." I said.

"Same," Josh said. "Never really thought it would happen to me."

"Why?" I asked.

"A lot of it was my own doing," He said. "I didn't really like openin' myself up in relationships. Figured they wouldn't last so why bother."

"O-oh, but I'm different?" I asked, and smiled when his hand lifted, fingers tracing through my hair.

"Yeah, you're the only one that I wanted to be with until death," He said. "You're my opposite in every way, little mouse. And we work so well together."

"Yeah, I think that too," I smiled, giddily.

I looked at him and he met my gaze. I'd never been so in love with someone before. I liked that I was able to make him smile and I liked it even more that he'd let me in. I shifted a little closer, pressing kisses down his neck.

"Is this you tryin' to seduce me, little mouse?" He asked.

"N-not if it's annoying." I replied, feeling my pulse as it beat against my neck.

"It's never annoying," Josh replied, nipping the shell of my ear. "You could just ask."

"N-no because asking makes me blush." I giggled.

"Love it when you blush," He murmured, leaning to kiss down my neck. My eyes fluttered and a slightly breathy whine left my lips. "Always know you'll be fuckin' soaked when you blush."
