For that whole week and into the next week, Josh and I stayed indoors, watching films and just enjoying being together. We also spent a good portion of that time making love. Everything felt the same, but also different. We were happy together, just the two of us. That bubble would burst the following Thursday when I'd arranged to meet up with our friends to tell them the good news.

We'd picked Thursday because it was the only day everyone's schedules aligned and agreed to meet them all at TGI Fridays on 34th. It was an interesting location to tell our friends we had eloped and got married, but apparently the chicken wings were better than the other location.

On Thursday, Josh and I drove there. I was nervous about the whole situation, but he seemed calm. He usually was. Out of the two of us, I had enough anxiety for the both of us. I was thankful that he was so calm though.

"Think they'll be upset?" I asked, as we drove by Krispy Kreme Donuts.

"Yeah, Kenny'll probably cry." Josh said.

"Really?" I giggled.

"No, but I think Desiree and the girls probably will, little mouse." He said.

"Could turn around and go home." I suggested, peeking at him from under my bangs.

"Don't tempt me, little mouse." He said, smirking.

We parked the car and I glanced at the Empire State Building. It always amazed me and if I wasn't a little scared of heights, I would have definitely wanted to see the view from the top. Josh locked the car and I walked over, taking his hand in mine. We walked towards the entrance on the corner and he opened the door for me.

We waited to be seated and followed the waitress to the reserved table, sitting down. We were the first here and I knew our friends well enough that they'd trickle in in a certain order. I moved my chair a little closer to Josh and our eyes met. I leaned against him and took comfort in the fact that he was my husband.

The first to arrive were Sadie and Johnny. They were prompt and usually couldn't stand being late. I put this down to the fact that Sadie liked organization. Their apartment was very neat and Sadie couldn't stand mess.

"Hey guys." Sadie grinned.

She rounded the table, hugging me tightly. Johnny went to hug Josh, who moved back slightly.

"C'mon, no hug?" Johnny teased.

"When have I ever wanted to hug you?" Josh asked.

"You hug Daisy." Johnny said.

"That's different." Josh replied.

Sadie laughed at that and she sat down. Johnny sat next to her. She started to ask what was happening when Desiree and Theo arrived. Sadie got up and hugged Desiree.

Desiree hugged me next, then hugged Johnny. She sat on the other side of Josh and smirked at him.

"Hey goth boy." She said.

"Hey Desi," He said. "Is that becomin' my nickname?"

"Possibly," She replied. "I, like Aubrey, enjoy having little monikers I refer to my friends as."

"You sure do, babe," Theo said, sitting next to her. "Even if they can't stand it."

Zara and Peter were the next to arrive. They greeted us all and sat in the seats next to Johnny and Sadie. Finally Kenny and Aubrey arrived.

"Sorry we're late," Kenny said. "Someone couldn't decide if TGI Fridays is the place for formal wear."

"I just wanted to look fancy as hell." Aubrey protested.
