A/N: sorry :/

---

Emilia wiped happy tears from her eyes as Bill and Fleur said their vows, and Fred smiled adoringly at her from where he and George stood next to Charlie at the top of the altar. Percy Weasley's absence was felt deeply among his family, not being there for such a happy event, and they all did their best to keep Molly's spirits up so she could partake in the joy of the day that she worked so hard to make perfect for her eldest son.

Gabrielle's speech after the ceremony for her older sister was heartfelt and emotional, while Charlie's had everyone in tears of laughter. Bill and Fleur thanked everyone for being present during these difficult times, and Bill acknowledged Mad-Eye, who he'd initially persuaded to officiate the ceremony, but thanked Kingsley for taking on the role at such short notice.

Emilia was talking to Hermione and Ginny when she felt a tap on her shoulder. Fred smiled down at her, "I believe it's customary for the groomsmen to ask the bridesmaids for a dance. Miss Potter, may I have this dance?"

Hermione chuckled and Emilia rolled her eyes fondly as she turned to face Fred fully, "why, of course, Mr Weasley. I would love to dance with you."

Fred snickered and tugged on her hand until they were on the dance floor under the marquee, and Fred kissed her lips softly, "you look beautiful, love. And I know I told you that already, but I have to admit that the dress would look better on the bedroom floor-"

"Fred! Godric," Emilia hissed in exasperation, looking around to make sure that no one near them on the dancefloor had heard, which fortunately they hadn't.

"I'm behaving, I swear," Fred said with a cheeky grin, and she couldn't help but laugh at his antics.

Fred smiled fondly down at her and pressed a kiss to her temple as they swayed slowly to the music, feeling like the only two people in the world.

"I love you," he whispered out of the blue, and she smiled up at him.

"And I love you," she told him.

He kissed her softly, and then she sighed, "I'll have to go on my patrol shift with the Order soon."

Fred groaned quietly, "yes, but not yet, you can protect everyone later."

Emilia chuckled and trailed her fingers through his neatly styled hair, the pair of them oblivious to anyone looking at them. The instrumental of the string quartet soon picked up into a more lively traditional tune, and Emilia and Fred watched happily from the sidelines as Bill and Fleur took the lead for the dance.

Everyone was clapping in time with the music, and whooping and cheering, but then all of the lanterns suddenly went out, casting them into immediate darkness.

Exclamations of surprise echoed through the marquee, and Fred tightened his arm around Emilia as a corporeal Patronus darted into the centre of the darkened marquee, Kingsley Shacklebolt's voice echoing from it.

"The Ministry has fallen, Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming."

Emilia's mouth fell open, "Fred."

He stared down at her with wide eyes, "we need to get inside."

"Get Ginny, I'll get the others," she told him urgently and he nodded and then kissed her fiercely before running in the direction of George and Ginny.

Emilia spotted Hermione and ran over just as she grabbed Ron, and Harry had joined them within seconds.

"You're leaving," Emilia said, and the Trio nodded.

"This is something I need to do, Emilia," Harry said, and she understood the rest.
