Wei Wuxian woke up in a familiar room.
He then tried to sit up only for his side to hurt.
"Wei Ying"
Lan Wangji's soft voice spoke as he helped Wei Wuxian to sit up properly.
"Lan Zhan..."
"We're in Gusu. Jingshi."
"Jingshi?"
"Mn. Someone helped us get here"
Wei Wuxian looked at him in confusion.
"I don't know who. They didn't introduced themselves...but they saved Wei Ying's life so I trusted them"
Wei Wuxian only nodded in understanding until he looked around.
"The kids? What about the kids?"
"Sizhui is in his room, he arrived earlier and isolated himself. Xiuying is in training with the other disciples. Tianyu is in the library with the new lan disciple."
Wei Wuxian heaved a sigh.
"How's Sizhui? How long was I out?"
"Sizhui is ignoring everyone right now. You were out half a day."
"Okay..."
"Wei Ying. What did you see inside?"
Lan Wangji asked, taking Wei Wuxian's hands into his own.
Wei Wuxian sigh once again and began to tell him what he saw in empathy with the head of the former Sect Leader of Nie Sect.
"Jin Guangyao is the real villain. Now, Qin Su is killed after knowing that she married his own brother!"
Wei Wuxian commented at the end of his discussion while Lan Wangji stayed quiet, listening to his Wei Ying
"Xiongzhang..."
He whispered.
"Don't worry Lan Zhan.. I'm sure Sect Leader Lan will be fine, we'll support him through it all."
"Mn"

"Huaisang. Where is Wangji and Wei Wuxian?"
"My spies helped them escape Lanling. They're in Gusu"
"Guess the plan is in the right path?"
"Yep! Just need to go into further measures! Revealing Jin Guangyao would be really tricky"
"I understand, where is--
"Jiang-Xiong? He left to go to Yunmeng, but he'll be there soon"
"Be sure to be there Huaisang. We need you for the final act."

"Baba! Are you okay? Who did this to you?"
Lan Xiuying asked while hugging Wei Wuxian.
Wei Wuxian kept a tight mouth about that matter, he didn't want Lan Xiuying to hate Jin Ling more than she already has and Lan Sizhui was just standing there staring into space. That worried the two parents.
"Da-Ge, go rest. We'll be fine here"
Lan Tianyu whispered getting Lan Sizhui out of his thoughts to which he shook his head and insisted on staying but Lan Tianyu didn't let him as he told Lan Jingyi to drag his brother back to his own room.
Lan Sizhui protested but Lan Tianyu hit his nerves that made him immediately pass out in Lan Jingyi's arms.
Wei Wuxian looked at them worriedly at that while Lan Xiuying was still whining about who hurt their Baba.
"It would do Baba no good if you keep on whining. Whoever did that to Baba will have to succumb to their guilt."
Lan Tianyu said as Lan Xiuying shut her mouth almost immediately and apologized.
"It's fine. You really remind me of myself when I was still in Yunmeng"
Wei Wuxian laughed but stopped as he clutched his sides
"Wei Ying...!"
"I'm fine Lan Zhan, now what about the two of you retire to bed early? I'm sure both of you are tired"
Wei Wuxian said and Lan Xiuying was about to say something but Lan Tianyu already dragged her out of Jingshi.
"Goodnight A-Die, Baba"
Lan Tianyu said before closing the door, leaving both parents inside.
"You really raised them well. I just hope Sizhui is alright"
"He's strong, I'm sure he'll overcome this. He may not be able to forgive Young Master Jin so easily but I know he will, our Sizhui loves him"
Lan Wangji stated surprising Wei Wuxian by the sudden long speech he just gave.
"I love you even more"
"Wei Ying..!"

"Baba!"
A younger Lan Sizhui ran towards the figure that looked like Wei Wuxian in his Yilling Patriarch clothes as the figure hugged him.
"I missed you!"
"I miss you too my little radish! How are you?"
Lan Sizhui giggled as Wei Wuxian carried him to who knows where but the little boy in the arms of his father couldn't care much. He missed this.
"I am fine, Baba! Did you know the twins looked so much like you! A-Xing definitely took after you, Baba. A-Die also misses you...when will you come back?"
"I am always beside you A-Yuan. I am always there for all of you. Now, tell me, my little radish, what's troubling you?"
Lan Sizhui pouted when Wei Wuxian put him down as his body seemingly grew to be in his 12 year old body.
"I...I don't know"
"Is it about a certain Jin?"
Lan Sizhui blushed and looked at Wei Wuxian surprised as he looked for words fitting to the situation. He stammered and stuttered as Wei Wuxian laughed making Lan Sizhui look down embarrassed.
"You know A-Yuan, if you love someone, you'll need to understand them way deeper. You'll need to be with them, to comfort them. And if they did something wrong, talk to them, solve the problem."
"But he stabbed you...how can I forgive him? Even if I do love him... you're my Baba"
Wei Wuxian chuckled and ruffled Lan Sizhui's hair.
"I'm fine. Jin Ling was only probably shocked and acted out of instinct. It may be wrong but he's just a child. You'll need to understand him more. I'm sure he's probably scared right now."
Lan Sizhui got quiet for a minute before he looked up at his Father.
"I'll try Baba. Thank you"
"Looks like time is up my little radish. Take care of your A-Die and siblings for me. I love you"
Lan Sizhui quickly hugged Wei Wuxian tight and cried, he was back to his current body now.
"I love you too Baba, thank you"
With that Wei Wuxian disappeared and Lan Sizhui woke up in his room with Lan Jingyi by his side with a panic expression. It looked like Lan Jingyi was trying to wake him up.
Lan Jingyi, upon seeing his brother awake, immediately tackled the poor Lan to a hug.
"I'm sorry Jingyi"
