Third Person POV:

Ihatovo was a small rural town a couple miles out from Yokohama, a huge farming and animal town. To be honest there were probably more animals than people. That thought was funny to the families that lived there. Kenji's family was no different.

Kenji walked to the local farmers market, holding a large rattan basket with small sums of money inside. He smiled brightly as he walked happily down the dirt road, only having to walk five minutes to get there. She walked into the market, glancing back and forth at each stall selling different things. Some sold fruits or vegetables while some sold meats. A couple stalls here and there sold clothing or farming tools and such.

He walked up to the peach stall, meeting his friend there, who looked seriously at the peaches, making sure he'd pick the perfect one.

"Hey (L/N). Are you free this afternoon?" Kenji asked, picking out peaches mindlessly.

"Uhmm yes I think so, why?" He answered, paying for his peaches, Kenji following his steps, paying after him

They conversed, walking through the market.

"Well, I was wondering if you would want to go to the fields and watch the sunset with me?" She asked the boy who was now picking out radishes.

"Sure why not?" He shrugs putting two of the reddish vegetables in his basket.

"Okay great. I guess I'll see you then!" He smiles at (M/N), before practically skipping home.

Kenji's day couldn't have gone slower, minutes felt like hours. On a normal day, Kenji would be happy to help, avoiding food, so his ability would be useful. Because of his ability, he tended to do ALL the heavy lifting, but it didn't matter to him. She would carry the hay bales, buckets of food, and occasionally, an animal if one happened to escape. On the downside, he often experienced terrible headaches, but he didn't like the feeling of passing out after eating, so he only ate snacks throughout the day. Because of this, she was severely underweight, but it never affected her work load.

By the time noon hit, he was very close to passing out, having many exhausting chores that day. Still he prevailed, sitting down on the front porch of his house, feeling the cold breeze and cool concrete, helping him almost instantly. Suddenly the ground started to shake, not like a light rumble, but more like a silo had collapsed, except this time it kept going.

She looked out at the road, watching the dirt separate from itself forming large cracks. Screams flooded his ears as he ran inside.

"We need to go now!" He yelled out, hoping they would hear him.

Luckily they did, rushing out of the house, appearing from where they had been before. Kenji folllowed closely behind, watching as his family stood outside, watching as their town began to collapse.

"Go, warn the city!" Kenji's older sister yelled at her family. "Kenji and I will help the people." Her sister was also blessed with an ability.

The others nodded, hopping into the fairly trashy car they owned, disappearing.

"Oh my gosh.." Kenji mumbled, watching in terror as his usual happy face faded, seeing his home collapse in front of him.

20 minutes passed, quaking finally coming to a close, Kenji and his sister letting go of each other.

"Okay Kenji, look for survivors." She shouted, running off towards a local home that had collapsed. A few homes had survived the earthquake.

The blonde teen ran in the opposite direction towards (M/N)'s street, nerves bubbling up in his heart. He wasn't totally sure which house was his, so he lifted rubble from each house. He ended up saving 10 people. 2 families of four and an old couple. There was one more house that must've belonged to (M/N)'s family. He lifted the plaster and rubble effortlessly, finding the dead bodies of his father and younger sister. He checked their pulses, feeling nothing but cold dead skin. His heart dropped. He lifted the two up carefully, laying them down on their backs on the dusty grass. He continued digging for (M/N) and his mother. He found the mother dead, a large piece of wood lodged in her stomach, but she was protecting something. He lifted her up slowly, pulling the log out of her, laying her down with her family.

She noticed (M/N)'s blue sweater cover in blood and dust. Kenji began to sob, lifting the body out of the rubble. He cried as he layed (M/N) down beside his family, all resting together side by side on the grass.

"I never got to tell you how I feel." She sobbed into her hands, letting them rest in peace. Sirens rang through her ears, her sister running up to her.

"It's okay Kenji." She shushed him, pulling him into a hug.

He said nothing, gripping the back of his sisters shirt as he sobbed into her chest. He wailed, choking on his own tears as his sister brushed her fingers through his smokey hair.

"I know Kenj. I know." She stuttered, crying softly as she had lost her boyfriend in the quake, too.

"I wish I could've told him how I feel." He wept with his sister, embracing him tightly, afraid of losing him.

"He knows, I promise. He's in a better place now." She whispered through her own cries.

'I would've shown you the sunset.'
