Kyouka Izumi- I love you for you, not your past

Warnings: Fluff, Date

Pronouns- Kyouka- (She/her), (M/N)- (He/him)

Gifts- Kyouka- Demon Snow, (M/N)-All is For Thy- The ability to shapeshift into any type of living creature, excluding plants. Gain the ability of each person. For example if he shapeshifts into Kyouka, he would gain her ability, still having his own. Downside- can only be used for an hour max.

Third Person POV:

The two fourteen year olds talked happily on the office couch, waiting until the moment their shift ended to leave as soon as possible. 

"Hey Kyouka, Can you help me with something?" Atsushi asked, shifting their heads over to him. 

"Sure." She spoke emotionlessly, getting up and walking over to the tiger. 

(M/N) groaned, his girlfriend being stolen by her work partner. He laid down on the couch, head on the armrest. 

"(M/N), don't you have work to do?" Kunikida scolded the boy from his desk, still typing vigorously on  his keyboard. 

"I-" He began though quickly cut off. 

"Kunikida, leave the boy alone, he's only 14, give him a break." Dazai groaned, winking at (M/N), letting him off the hook. 

"Thanks Dazai-san!" (M/N) thanked, still laid down on the couch. He dropped his arms onto his stomach, staring up at the plain ceiling. 

He occasionally glanced at the clock watching it near 5 pm. It was currently 4:55, and he was nearing the edge of his rope. The (h/c) boy often wishes he wasn't given a stupid gift, so he wouldn't be putting himself in danger daily at fourteen. Though, he was homeless beforehand, and now he had a crappy apartment, so he was grateful. He also recognized the fact that he wouldn't have met Kyouka. She changed his life, for the better, making him have something to live for. 

(M/N) wasn't suicidal per say and definitely not to Dazai's level, which he thought really needed to be talked about. He rather thought more negatively and realized the fact that he didn't have much to live for. Now that has changed, meeting his girlfriend, who he loves dearly. 

"(M/N) it's time to go." (M/N) opened his eyes to meet Kyouka staring down over him. 

He hopped up quickly, saying by to everyone before disappearing with Kyouka. They walked hand in hand, talking about random shit that didn't matter, but they were happy so it didn't bother them.

"Hey Izumi, you want ice cream? I'll pay!" He asked, looking down at the girl. 

"Yes, but I can pay for myself (M/N)." She agreed with half, shooting him a look.

"uh-uh-uh nonsense. I'm paying!" He demanded, shaking his head dramatically. 

"I-okay." She smiled up at him, a small pink blush on her cheeks.

After he had bought the two of them ice cream, they walked over to the pier, sitting down on a bench, to watch the sunset.

"Hey, (M/N)?" She asks, hands scrunching up her kimono nervously.

(M/N) noticed her behavior, but ignored it. "What's up?" He answered staring out at the water.

"Why do you like me?" She says, genuinely, making (M/N)'s heart drop.

"Why would I not like you!" He answers her, looking her in the eyes. 

"Because of my past. I'm a killer, (M/N)." She whispers, eyes shaking lightly. 

"So what about your past. It doesn't define you. Are you still a killer?" He speaks highly, a hand resting on hers.

"No.." She mumbles, looking at a bush to her left.

"Exactly. I love you for you, not your past." He says, blushing. 

"W-what?" Kyouka blushes profusely, eyes widening in shock.

"What." He smiles innocently.

"You love me?" She mumbles, looking back at him. 

"Yeah I do, what's not to love. You're smart, pretty, and a hella good fighter!" He complimented his girlfriend who looked like she was one compliment away from crashing. 

"I-i love you, too" She fiddles with her own fingers, looking down at her knees, avoiding eye contact at all costs. 

"Aww Kyouka, you're so cute." He kisses her cheek, knowing she's gonna shut down. 

"I-stop." She blushes, pushing his face away, laughing slightly. 

"I really do love you, just so you know." He looks at her lovingly.

"I love you, too (M/N)."
