Dumbledore frequented my dreams for the next several weeks while Regulus planned. I couldn't explain it... but I knew something bad was happening. Was going to happen. Regulus seemed so determined that it became hard to reach him at times. I didn't know what to do. I had to go visit my mother at her estate and I was so incredibly worried about leaving Regulus alone.
"Reggie?" I questioned as I peered into our room to see him hunched over his desk.
"Hmm?" he muttered out.
"I have to go visit my mother, love..." He looked up at me. "I- I need you to take care of yourself, Reg. Please. I'm worried about you." Regulus seemed to hear me for the first time in days and nodded his head.
"I'm sorry, butterfly... I'm sorry."
"You are my life, Regulus. I need you, my love."
"I know, I'm sorry. I've been... I've been so in my head. He... he hurt Kreature..."
"I know, love. I'm not putting you down for what you're doing, but you need to care for yourself, too. You love Kreature, I know that. You have such a good heart, Reggie. You're such a bright light from the darkness of which created you. You are everything I ever could have needed in this world and more. But I need you to be here." Regulus nodded and we spent a little bit of time saying goodbye before I had to leave.
"I'll see you soon, love," he murmured as he reluctantly let go of me. I hated having to walk away from him. Added with a sinking feeling in my gut that something horrible was going to happen, but knowing I couldn't defy my mother, it felt like my soul was being torn in half.
