**Calista's POV**
"Goodbye, mother," I told her as she was typing away on her laptop. She didn't acknowledge me or even look up at me and I shook my head before walking out the door. I had only been gone for a few days, but I felt an urgent need to get back to Sirius. I decided to apparate back instead of taking the long way. I found Regulus having what seemed to be an urgent conversation with Kreature, but he stopped when he spotted me.
The look in his eyes... was pure devastation. I didn't know what was going on, but I knew whatever it was... it was going to hurt.
"My love," he greeted me softly... sadly.
"Reggie, what's going on?"
"I... I have to go to the cave, butterfly."
"No, Reg, we were going to talk about this. Try to figure something out!"
"Cali, please," Regulus gasped. "I... I can't really... I have to, Cali..."
"What happened, Reg?" I pleaded with him. Kreature was looking at the pair of us with sad eyes.
"It's- Dumbledore," was all he said.
"Dumbledore?" I questioned as I studied Regulus' face. "What did he do?" I growled.
"Please, love, drop it," Reg begged.
"I certainly will not! You drinking that potion is a death sentence, Reggie! I will not let you go there to die!"
"There has to be a sacrifice, Calista!" he shouted back at me. Silence rang through the house as we just stared at each other for a long while. "I... I'm doing this for you," he broke the silence as tears ran down his face. "I have to. I'm sorry. I love you," he said. He stepped forward and kissed me. He kissed me like he meant it. He kissed me like... he kissed me like this was goodbye. Before I could do anything, before I could find some way to stop him, Regulus had stepped back and in a moment, him and Kreature were gone.
