I went straight to Hogwarts. I didn't know how to get through the cave, not without Kreature. I couldn't help Reggie. But I could confront the person who made him do this. When I arrived on castle grounds I was surprised to see Sirius there. I stormed right past the older brother of the Black family, however, as I spotted Dumbledore.
"What have you done?" I shouted as I approached him.
"Ms. Costello, I assure you I do not-"
"Cut the bullshit, Albus. What did you say to Regulus?" I demanded.
"Now dear, whatever that boy has gotten into his mind-"
"Stop lying to me!" I growled. I felt Sirius grab my arm in confusion.
"What's going on, Calista?"
"Albus sent Reggie to sacrifice himself," I gritted out. "I can't help him, Siri. I... I couldn't stop him."
"Sacrifice himself?"
"The Crystal Cave, you sent him there," I turned my fury back on Albus.
"I'm sure I don't know what you-"
"Veritas," I cut him off as I cast a spell, causing a circle to briefly surround us before fading, though the magic remained.
"What on earth?"
"A truth spell, Albus. Let's be real now, here. You sent Regulus to die!"
"Not necessarily," he responded. "He could send the elf," he shrugged.
"He would never do that!" I screamed.
"You... you sent my brother to die?" Sirius questioned suddenly. That's when Kreature apparated in front of us cradling Regulus. His eyes found me instantly, silently begging for help.
"Reg!" I yelled as I rushed over. He was soaking wet and covered in blood and gashes. "Reggie," I cried out as I landed next to him. I instantly began to try to heal him... but there was no reaction.
"Reggie, please," I begged as I clutched onto his lifeless body. "I need you," I sobbed.
