HIDDEN

Anthony's POV

"HELLO, babe. What makes you call? Do you need something?"

I automatically smile ear to ear when my 'girlfriend' answered my phone call. Even I am just hearing 'her' voice on the other line and didn't see 'her' pretty face, I feel like my fever is getting better. It sounds cheesy but for me, 'Chloe' is my source of strength.

I slightly laughed, "I didn't need something. I just want to check you if you're doing better."

Narinig ko ang mahina ring pagtawa ni Chloe sa kabilang linya, "Liar! I know na may kailangan ka. Gusto mo bang makipagkita?"

Napangiti ako sa sinabi niya. Talagang kilala na ako ni Chloe. Sa loob ba naman ng '2 months' na relasyon namin, it's very clear for the both of us our real intention with each other. Alam na namin kung may 'kailangan' kami sa isa't isa dahil madalas naman kaming magkasama. We're already know each other. Normal lang naman iyon sa isang 'relationship'.

"I just want to see you, babe. Buong araw kitang hindi nakita..." I whispered.

I heard her shrugged, "Bakit kasi hindi ka pumasok kanina? May problema ka ba? Pwede mo namang sabihin sakin, Anthony." it's very evident that she's worried.

Napakibit-balikat ako kahit hindi niya ako nakikita, "Nothing. I just have a fever. But don't worry, I already fine." Nilipat ko sa kabilang tainga ko ang aking cellphone.

"Are you sure? Gusto mo samahan kita magpa-check up?"

I laughed, "Yes, 'wag ka ng mag-alala. Ayos na talaga ang pakiramdam ko."

"Fine, where do you want to meet me?" Narinig ko ang tuluyan na niyang pagbangon sa kama niya.

"Papayagan ka ba ni tito?" I hesitantly asked.

"Nah! 'Yun pa. Tatakas na lang ako. Pwede mo ng ikwento sa'kin 'yang problema mo once na magkita tayo."

Napailing-iling na lang ako sa sinabi ni Chloe. Bukod sa ang kulit niya na kakasabi na may problema nga ako kahit wala naman, ang tigas pa ng ulo niya. For sure, once her dad found out that she disobeyed again his order, Chloe might be grounded for the mean time.

"Saan ba tayo magkikita, babe?" she added again. Halata na nag-aayos na ito.

"Favorite bench na lang. Sa park. I gotta go. Mag-aayos na rin ako. Bye, ingat ka." When Chloe already totally agreed to the place, I hung up the call.

Nag-ayos na rin ako pagkatapos.

After almost thirty minutes of waiting, Chloe is already here making her way towards me. Halata ang 'excitement' sa ekspresyon nito habang papalapit sa kinauupuan ko. Ang laki rin ng ngiti niya na para bang gustong gusto niya akong makita. Sh't. I might look delusional by thinking like that. Tumayo na ako sa bench para salubungin siya.

I flashed my genuine smile when she already come closer, "I'm glad to see you. I thought, you wouldn't come. You literally made me wait." I faked my voice to looked myself a little bit sullen.
