8: warm night

Next morning ~

I woke up and took a quick shower just to find myself standing behind the door, peeking at the living room area. It's been twenty minutes I stand here but didn't have enough courage to face him again.

Look at how he scroll through his phone , having such a great breakfast while I've been dying to think about the way to not look awkward in front of him. I stare at the outside view, and sigh deeply. I twisted the door knob and open it widely.

I stepped out from the room and walk to the dining table, standing right at the side of him.

"I'm sorry, for yesterday.. I -"

He cut me off, "I know, it just an accident .. don't worry, I try my best to not make it looks like accident next time"  he smile, provoking me with the word "accident" . I click my tongue and cross my arm to my chest, "what do you mean by next time? I'm being serious right now." I said sternly.

He stare at his phone before giving me a side eye, then chuckled softly. "I'm not gonna stop here, I'm still gonna win you back.." he says and get up from his seat, and get closer to my face, my breath hitch when I feel his soft breath touching my skin.

His hands slid to the side of my cheek, " I'll be back late tonight, don't wait for me. There's breakfast, enjoy your morning like how I did. See you tonight " he says and smiled, I thought that's all but the next thing I felt his lips making a contact on my forehead as he takes look at me again before taking his coat and leave with his secretary.

I comeback to my sense and speak up, "Who says you can kiss my forehead you dumb!" I say in furious tone as my cheek is heating up from the scene.

"Ms Haneul, what would you like for breakfast? Are you prefer tea or coffee?"

I jump  a little, when I see the maid standing beside me . I thought he doesn't have maid, and told me to cook whatever I want but look at how he was served well by her.

I scoff looking at the breakfast, before answering his maid, "it's okay.. I can do it myself.. sorry for troubling you" I smile awkwardly and take a sit on the chair while she comeback with the plate on her hands, handing it to me.

"You.. don't have too.." i whisper to myself, hoping that she didn't hear those word.

By the time I finish eating, I search for the maid to asked something but I saw her getting her things ready and took of the apron from her. I get a little curious and ask her, "sorry to ask.. but where are you going?"

She bow down a little and smiled , "I'm getting off my work, Ms Haneul. I was told to stay here until you're done with your breakfast by Mr Lee. Did you need anything else?" She say softly, I  shakes my head and look somewhere else as I feel the awkward moment eating up the space.

"Oh.. I guess you're leaving. Okay then, thank you for the delicious breakfast." I say and bow in manner before leaving her behind, going to living room.

Time passes and for real I feel like I'm living in a big castle alone, literally no one. I just checked up on grandma, we're having a little talk just now. I rest my head on the couch as I look up at the ceiling. He didn't even bother to asked if I'm okay or not, I thought he care maybe not.

I sigh deeply as my hands pushing my hair to the back. Few minutes later , I heard someone knocking on the door as I quickly went to open the door.

When I thought it was him but it's not, it's a man on his 50an maybe from the way he looks. I greet him as I look outside the house if there's another presence of someone. He cleared his throat before handing me the paper bag, "I'm Park Wonjung , Mr Lee's driver. He told me to give this to you, there's some porridge and sweets for you from Mr Lee." He says politely.

I went blank for a second and just blankly nod at his statement, "I should go now.. have a good lunch Ms Haneul" he says and take his leave.

I closed the door and walked back to the living room and put the paper bag on the table, I took out the porridge and let out a gasp when I see a bunch of sweets he bought. This is all are my favorites, without knowing I found myself smiling when I caught him remembering the small detail about me.

It's amaze me when he still remembered this little things, though it's been a year but his memories never died.

I smile and let out sigh but a relief sigh, I happily enjoy the porridge and the sweets he gives to me after I'm done taking my medicine. Soon later, I enter my bedroom and lay down the bed, scrolling on my phone. One of the medicine is gonna make me fell asleep, and by then I safely got into a deep slumber.

Lee Heeseung ~

It's 1am in the morning when I come back home, I found no one in the living room and so the kitchen. It looks like the kitchen haven't used after the breakfast, I look around the living room and found a few packets of jelly and all the sweets I send to her.

Sure it was a tiring day, multiple of meetings with clients and all the paperwork just send all the pressure to my head. It's only been one day she's here but after I got home today I didn't feel like I'm alone, I feel like someone wait for me like how it used to be.

I smile softly as I walked towards her bedroom, I slowly knock on her door but no one responds so I decided to open the door without her permission. I took a small peek and then look at her sleeping body in relief, I thought she'll be gone by the time I comeback but she still here.

I took a sit beside her and put my hand at the side of her shoulder and stare beautifully at her face, "you still look pretty like before, my sky.." I whisper softly as I push away a few stranded of her hair from her face.

"thank you for not making me taking those pills last night.."

"You've gone through a lot but until now I don't know why can't you give me a chance. The trust issues, and all the mental health issues you have I always been there for you.. I can be the same person you've love before haneul.. I hope you can open your heart again, this time together.. we do this together? hmm.." I slowly whisper into her ears.

I want to be her so damn much,

Sleepless night has been killing me,

And right now, I want you to be in my arm again..

Gosh, this time I really need you back..

Haneul.

I took off my coat and put it on the table beside her bed, I lay down beside her and wrapped my arm around her shoulder bringing her close to my chest. I miss this feeling where I found warm and cozy in her. I caressed the back of her head softly and kiss her forehead without any second thought.

"For today.. I want to cross the line if it's you"

"Sleep well sweetheart."

I had multiple thought in my head, but when I had her in my arm it feels like the world stop and it's only me and her . I feel like the burden on me gone for a few hours.

Through the night I can only feel the butterflies and the tingling feelings inside me growing.

I really love you haneul..

"Don't have a second thought and just come to me haneul, I know you're gonna leave me once you feel something's not right but for this once, please don't think about anything else and stay in my arm comfortably" I says and kiss her cheek.

"It's good to have you in my embrace haneul" I says and snuggle on her more and went into a deep slumber.
