10: terrible thought

By the time I arrived at hospital, I found myself fall on my knees as I watch the scene in front of my eyes. How can a human be so shameless and not doing their job like how they're called a "doctors" . My heart ache when the whole ER is full of dying people and get enough of attention from the doctor but not my grandma.

Look at how she just lay there, closing her eyes and not moving. The needles that supposed to link with her hands is untouched beside her, I look around and see many patient got their doctor treating them while some of them didn't have any work to do . My tears running down my face when I caught myself and grandma got treated so badly just because we're poor?

I walk toward her bed as I kneel down the side of bed and reach for his hands. I wipe my tears , though I'm forcing myself but I need to be strong whatever happens. Then I felt someone touch me by shoulder as I turn around and meet elder woman eyes, "are you her.. grandchild?" She ask hesitantly.

I got up to the same level and nodded, "thank you for saving her, but why they didn't treat my grandma?" I ask, she chuckled nervously and hesitate to answer my question but I keep forcing her until she finally let out a word.

"Well.. I can't do anything.. I'm sorry, they just run a few test on her then they leave. I saw a group of people talking to the doctor that supposed to treat your grandma in private, I heard the woman say to not try saving her so I just pretend I didn't hear it.. I'm really sorry.."  she says and by the time she finally speak up she gets on her knees, putting his hands together begging me to forgive her.

I clench my fist as I have one name in my mind that making my blood boil, I was about to go after the doctor that was told by that elder woman but then someone grab my wrist as I got pulled back inside. The person close the curtain behind us as he locks his eyes with mine.

"Heeseung? What are you doing here?" I asked feeling taken aback by his presence here. "Calm down, don't act out of your mind haneul" he says as he lets out a deep sigh and sat on the chair next to the be, I rolled my eyes and cross my arm over my chest and stare coldly at him.

"tell your mother to stop invading my life, just let me and my grandma live. Just because she is Vice - Chairman wife doesn't mean she gets full power to take down people like me ! " I say in frustration but keep my voice low. He look up before gazing back to my grandma and reach to her hands.

"Hello Ms Yang.. it's been so long" he whispered but loud enough for me to hear it since it was only two of us here. I rolled my eyes and pull him away from her, "heeseung, please respect my decision that I don't want your mother to know anything that I've been meeting you for these past few days. And please distance yourself from us.." it takes me a minute to say this but no matter what I need to make sure she is on the right state.

I bit my lips and let out a sigh, "look please make things right back, tell the doctor to treat my grandma. I don't want to lose her, please use the power you have now in your hands. I know I owe you a lot, I can pay you back later but for now please told them to sage my grandma too instead of turning blind eye !.. " I says desperately as I reach to his hands, gripping on it tightly while my eyes get teary as soon as I let out those word.

He stare at me for a moment before taking out his phone, soon later he's on the line with someone and comeback after signing a few paper on the counter. I was sitting next to my grandma before a group of nurse open the curtain and start push the bed while I'm still dumbfounded.

When I wanted to go after them someone pulled my wrist, "haneul wait.." I stare at his hands holding my wrist and sigh deeply, letting him continue his word. "What do you want?" I forced myself to asked while inside of me is wanting to disappear from his sights and go after grandma.
