29: I'll get it for you

Launching day

"you look stunning!" Ryeon say excitedly, praising the dress I wear. The hall got even busy not a minute after the red carpet started, and thanks to Jake that he  excuse me from red carpet list. I'm on my break, there's no way I want to be in front of the camera.

Ryeon, Soo ah, and Hwayoung still touching up their make-up while I look after Jae-in who's colouring her sketch book. Staring at lovely kid I hope that was mine. I can't wait to have my own kids but that impossible.

I quickly shake it off my mind, averting my attention to Jae-in. "Jae-in, are you excited that you gonna be big sister soon?" I asked, put few stranded of her hair away from her face.

Jae-in look at me with those puppy eyes, excitedly she nods. "Yes yes yes ! I can't wait to play my Barbies with her ! I'm gonna shared every toys of mine with her , it be so much fun!" She exclaim with act too. She's full of joy.

I smiled and patted her head, turning to look at Ryeon. "Ryeon, is jay and ni-ki coming?" I asked , my eyes linger around the room, searching for the two figure.

Ryeon who's still busy with her earrings glance at me before answer. "Jay gonna be a bit late since he has meetings with Head Surgeon, Ni-ki..he left to buy something. That's all he said to me before he left" Ryeon answered, at the same time done with her earrings. She walked up to me, sitting beside me as her expression change.

I rise my eyebrows in confusion, tilting my head while waiting for her to speak. Ryeon reached to my hands, gentle caressed it before she speaks.

"I don't want to bring this up but, I'm sorry on behalf sunghoon. I didn't know he gets too sensitive about it, and maybe he still don't understand.. I'm sorry okay" she says, trying to not make me feel bad.

I quickly shake my head, not agreed at all. "Why would you say that, it's my fault too. He's not wrong part of it, but let just say I already forget about it. I'm fine" I reassure, doesn't want them to think otherwise.

Ryeon let out a deep sigh, still feel bad about it. I reassure Ryeon again, doesn't want her to think about it for too long. "I'm all good, I left for something urgent. It's really urgent , sorry because I didn't call you the next day.." I say with little pout, trying to make situation less awkward.

She looks like want to continue but before she could, I cut her off and changed on new topic.

"I'm thinking on bringing Jae-in to beach, do u want to join? Just girls day, we can bring Soo ah too" I say, while playing with Jae-in hair. Ryeon got excited that she shakes my hands together with her with cheeky smile, "oh my gosh! I can't let that go waste, I'm coming!" She spoke, dramatically tried to shed a fake tears.

Chuckling to her reaction while Hwayoung and Soo ah also burst into laugh looking at Ryeon.

Our attention averted to the door when someone came in.

"Guys they're here" Jake says, stepped away from the door as he let the next person come in. For a moment I froze, seeing him with the woman I see back in the jewelry store. I can't see the happy memories through him, I just feel resentment.

But my heart, it hurts and I don't know why.

Then Ryeon poked my waist before she told me to stand up, greetings the guest. I cleared my throat, nodding as I follow from behind. My gaze met the girl, her face is so small and her eyes is round. She's pretty.

I could feel Jake gaze glued on me before he introduced them to us.

"Well met Kang Seoyun, heeseung's fiance" he says.
