It was halfway through the party and I still don't know why they wanted a party for their anniversary. I hope they had some alone time already or are going to have some alone time.
Yeosang stayed in the corner as he read his book. Occasionally talking to some people. He always stayed on his own.
I kept an eye on him as I talked with others. To some people, he would glare at them as they talked to me. It was so cute. Others he didn't seem to mind.
I took a soda, not really into drinking right now. Grabbing Yeosang one too. Going over to him on the couch and handing it to him. He put his book down and took it. He gave me a smile.
I put my arm around him. "You doing ok?" He nodded.
"I just don't do well in crowds. So I'm fine here. Not many are in here at least."
I gave him a kiss. "You almost done with your book? It's interesting from what I read of it."
He nodded. "I should have brought my other one."
"I think Hongjoong has some books around here." I pulled him off the couch and set our sodas on the coffee table.
Going into Hongjoong's old room and taking out a couple of books. "Pretty sure he wouldn't mind. He doesn't read these either way." Showing him the books. He looked at one of them.
"This one seems fine." He took one.
We went back to the living room.
"Oh, there you guys are." Hongjoong came in to grab a beer.
"Joong..."
"Hwa..."
"Calm down with the beers."
"I'm going to be one hundred percent honest with you. This is going to be my first and last beer of today. I don't want to ruin today... also because Jongho might kill me if I drink too much." He looked around a bit. "Also I feel like he is watching me."
"It better. Also, Yeosang is borrowing one of your old books to read."
"Oh, that's fine. I don't read them anyways. If you want you can take them."
"You sure?" Yeosang got a bit excited. Hongjoong nodded.
"I never read any of them." He laughed as he walked out.
"I'll take them when we leave." He opened his previous book and continued to read.
Hongjoong then came back in. "I forgot, Hwa can you go to the store and get some candles please?"
"Fine." I got up.
"Thank you!" He walked back outside.
I kissed Yeosang on the head. "I'll be back."
"I'll go with you."
"No, it's fine. It's just going to be really quick. The store is like three blocks from here." He nodded. "You want anything?" He shook his head. I nodded and left the house.
Walking those three blocks was kind of refreshing. Just some alone time. Getting to the store. I quickly got the candles. I froze when I heard screaming as I was walking to the front counter.
I wish I wasn't here.
It was being robbed... You got to be shitting me. I made eye contact with one of the robbers. Really ironic... Do I have to fight a bitch?... He pointed a gun at me. Oh fuck. Never mind. I ain't fighting someone with a gun. However someone else was brave enough to do it.
I watched this guy get tackled to the ground. His gun slid over to me. It was still far away but still closer to me than the others. I quickly ran over and grabbed it. Pointing it at another robber.
