Waking up. Yeosang was sitting up. He was just staring out the window.
"You doing ok?" I sat up. I crawled over to him. Sitting behind him kissing the back of his neck.
He leaned back. I held him.
"I'm doing better. Just needed to get all my frustrations out."
I held him closer.
"Seonghwa."
"Yeah."
"I've never heard you be so angry before." My eyes widened. "You and Hongjoong yelling at each other like that last night. I'm sorry."
"You did nothing. It was a thing between him and me. It was just something that would have come out sooner or later."
He nodded.
I picked him up and took him to the bathroom. Taking a quick shower. I took him to the living room.
Surprised they are all this here.
Wooyoung turned around. "Yeosang! Oh my god!" He got up.
I placed Yeosang down. I didn't need him tackling both of us. Wooyoung took him to the couch.
"Did you guys watch the news yet?"
"No. We were waiting for you." Yunho answered.
I nodded. I sat down and turned the tv on. Going straight to the news.
"Why the news?" Yeosang asked.
"You'll see." Jongho said. Why is he still so calm?"Seonghwa, what did you do?" He turned towards the tv. The news about his family's home being burnt down. He smiled when he heard there were no survivors. He jumped up and jumped onto me. "Did you do that?!" He grabbed my hands.
I nodded.
"THANK YOU!" He hugged me.
"Wait, what?" Hongjoong said. "You can't be serious. You're happy about this?"
"Of course he is." Jongho said. "He was abused for almost his whole life. Did you really expect him to be sad about his family dying?"
"I just didn't expect him to be this happy." Mingi said.
"Honestly, you really should have." Wooyoung said.
"So, how does it feel to become a serial killer?" Hongjoong got up.
"I already told you Hongjoong, I don't need to say it again."
"Yeah. I know. Jongho, let's go." He pulled Jongho up and they walked out.
"Just let him be for now." San said.
A day passed like it was nothing. It was normal.
A week passed. It was kind of normal.
Two weeks passed. Nothing from him.
A month passed. Still nothing.
It had been two months. No texts, calls, or visits from him.
It seems like he meant what he said. Nobody wants to stick around with someone like me.
Everything was normal except for him. Everyone came to visit like always but he didn't, Jongho barely visited like always.
I don't blame Hongjoong. I really don't.
"Seonghwa." Yeosang called me.
"Huh?" I turned around.
"Are you ready?"
I already forgot where we are. I looked around. That's right, on another run.
"Are you ok?" He asked me.
"Yeah. Im fine."
"I know you're upset about Hongjoong."
"It doesn't matter. He doesn't want to be friends with an outlaw anyway."
"You know he doesn't mean it." I stared down at him. "He just needs time to think."
"He didn't want me associating with you because you are one too."
"Then it's his loss. We can go back home if you're not up for it today." He cupped my face.
"No. We can continue. I need to get my mind off of things anyway."
"With the way you're feeling, it can get in the way."
I shook my head. "I'm fine. I've done it multiple times before."
"You sure?" I nodded. He smiled. "Ok." He gave me a kiss before he pulled our masks up.
He opened the vent to the shop. He pulled me in. Grabbing everything we wanted. Yeosang held up one of the necklaces to himself and looked in the mirror.
"Do you think this would look good on me?"
"Everything looks good on you."
"Ugh." He turned around and punched me in the stomach.
"You're starting that again?" I leaned over.
"Of course." He giggled. "But are you ready to run?"
"When am I not?"
He set the alarm off. We ran. Turning the corner, the police sped past us in the alleyway. We sprinted down the street over to the other side.
I smiled as I heard Yeosang's laugh.
The sound of cars screeching and coming after us. The sound of police sirens chasing after us. Watching as the flashing lights got brighter on the walls as we continued to run.
Yeosang pulled me down an alleyway. We jumped over trash, boxes, and cans to get to the other side. Running into a store with its back door opened. Running through. Pushing past workers and customers. Jumping over cash registers. Running out the front.
A police car pulled up in front of us. He slid over the hood of the car and ran into another alleyway. Running down some stairs. Running underneath them. Yeosang opened the cover to the sewers. We both quickly jumped in. We walked down the small walkway of the sewers.
"Im so happy we brought masks." Yeosang said. "But it honestly might not be enough."
I laughed. "Yeah. Let's just hope we don't puke when we get back home."
"Oh yeah, that was the worst last time."
We were walking for a while. Popping open the manhole cover. I got out and pulled Yeosang out. Covering it back up.
"Where the hell are we?" Yeosang asked.
"I don't know." I looked around. "But it does look too familiar." We took our hoodies and masks off. We put them in our bags. Walking down the small alleyway. I looked around. "Oh. I know exactly where we are."
I pulled Yeosang over and grabbed his chin, making him look in the direction Im looking in. I heard his breathing hitch.
"Oh."
"Yeah. Let's go." I grabbed his hand. Pulling in the direction to go home.
I didn't want there to be any chance of me seeing Hongjoong. I don't want him to see me. I don't want him to even waste his time glancing at me. He made it clear what he wanted. He left me. If he doesn't want to associate with me anymore, then I'll give him that wish.
"Seonghwa?" I continued to walk. It was just Mingi.
"Seonghwa!" It was San.
"They're calling you." Yeosang said.
"Ignore them. I don't want him to bother with someone like me."
Making sure to quickly make it out of there. Getting home, I threw the bags to the side.
"Seonghwa." Yeosang called me. "Seonghwa."
He pulled me. He hugged me. "It's ok. Everything is going to be ok." He pulled away and leaned his head against mine. "You don't need him."
