Akari woke up feeling happier.

For some reason it was like my life was getting better. I was looking forward to seeing Kurayami and spending time with him.

I got dressed for school and ate a quick breakfast then said goodbye to my parents. I walked down the sidewalk with Bluebell in my bag on my route to school. I turned my head down to look at Bluebell.

"I forgot to ask yesturday, but, where do those shadow people come from? Why do normal people get taken over and turn into a Kagé?" I ask.

Bluebell thinks for a moment. "Well, if I had to guess, I would say it's one of the abilities of the super villains. They are probably trying out their abilities on unsuspecting people, maybe to draw us out. I would say it's probably the charm of the Dragon, he has the power of wind and smoke. But it is also affected by it's weilder, so someone evil can control it and unlock new powers... The people it's affecting with shadows are probably troubled, angry, or they have evil wishes and desires that they want. So it consumes them and gives them
in-human strength. Turns them into a shell of themself." Bluebell tells me with a serious tone.

I look down and think for a bit.

"That sounds, terrible. Those poor people... Just let me know if you sense any of the Kagé again. I'll be there to heal them." I say smiling and clenching my fist.

Bluebell nods.

I walk the rest of the way in silence.

I met up with Kurayami at the lockers and we talked a bit as we made our way up to our classroom. We continued talking until class started. The rest of the day went by normally. Kurayami and I had lunch together on the roof as usual. Then lunch ended and we went back to class. Then the teacher made an announcement to everyone.

"So, I have an announcement that we are getting a new science teacher. They are more qualified and we have a bigger classroom that you all will be going to from now on. You will be joined by another class as well. This starts next week. That is all for announcements today." The teacher lowered the paper he was reading then turned around and started writing on the board for our class lesson.

I wonder why they suddenly got a new teacher even though the school year already started? Maybe we have a new ciriculum that's better...

The rest of the day went by, then class ended. Kurayami and I gathered our belongings then walked home together.

I looked at Kurayami as we were walking.

"Which class do you think we're going to be paired with for the new science class?" I asked.

He shrugged. "Not sure, but I hope it's not with Kaen."

I put my hand up to my head. "Ugh, knowing our luck of course he will be there."

He chuckled. "Don't worry about it, I bet he won't even try anything."

I lowered my hands. "Yeah, that's what Kaede said as well."

"Well, don't worry about them anymore. I won't let them bother you." Kurayami said smiling.

He set his hand on top of my head.

I blushed slightly. "Yeah, of course."

As we continued to walk back to my house. I kept getting a weird feeling, like something was watching us...

I looked around but I didn't see anything. I started to feel a pit in my stomach, a sinking feeling of dread. I started to walk faster with Kurayami to my house.

A figure watches from around a fence.

"What are you hiding Akari... I know my senses are never wrong..."
