Chapter 7~ Moving day.
"See you after okay?" Mike parted ways with Ziggy in the hallway. It was Friday, 4pm and yet another pep rally had arrived. Things were different this week though, since the whole thing in the gym happened, her and Mike had started talking again, she still wasn't in the party and didn't even know if she wanted to be in it again and she definitely didn't trust the whole thing with last summer. With Max, she hadn't spoken to her- like at all- not even to ask questions about last summer, "bye." She smiled and walked off into the direction of the gym doors where all the cheerleaders were stood.
"Hey guys." Ziggy smiled at all of them, "hey Zig." They took in turns to greet her, except Chrissy who was weirdly quiet, "hey Chris." She came up to her side and whispered, "what?" She snapped out of whatever daydream she was in, "oh- uh sorry, hey Zig." She looked disorientated, "you okay Chrissy?"
"Yeah uh-" she nodded her head, "just a headache that's all."
"You sure you're okay to go on?" She asked, holding her arm, "yeah I'm fine." She said shortly, "give it up for the Hawkins High Cheerleaders!" The principals voice echoed from inside the gym, that was their que.
They all ran in, shaking their pom poms as the students cheered them on, Ziggy forgot how good it felt to be in front of everyone cheerleading- I know, a shocker- She looked around with that fake cheer grin on and saw a person she least expected to be in the crowd, Max. Why was she here? It wasn't even a requirement to be at the pep rally's.
"Hey everyone!" Ziggy snapped at of her thoughts- and staring at Max- when she heard Chrissy talking to everyone through the microphone, "as you all know, Ziggy Buckley used to be on the cheer squad and recently joined back." Chrissy was cut off by loud cheers but all Ziggy cared about was Max's reaction, she looked up again and saw Max staring at her with a completely blank expression. "So in honour of this, I would like to announce that we are both, once again, co captain's of the Hawkins cheerleading squad!" The cheerleaders all raised their poms poms in the air as the crowd cheered again, "we got you a little something Ziggy." Chrissy looked over with a wide smile on her face as two cheerleaders came up behind her with a jacket that had Ziggy's name embroidered on the back, "I love it." Ziggy looked over it and hugged all the girls.

Straight after the pep rally was over and the students started to disperse out of the gym, Ziggy instantly ran out to find Max who luckily hadn't gotten far, she was stood rummaging through her locker. "What are you looking for?" Ziggy asked, visibly making Max jump, she huffed and slammed her locked shut as Ziggy leaned against the locker next to hers, "sorry." She smirked, "what do you want Ziggy?"
"How come you were at the pep rally? Didn't think it was your scene." Ziggy asked, "how come you stormed out the gym the other day? What was that with Mike?"
"It was nothing."
"Have you noticed that I never approach you? You literally stalk me." Max stated, changing the subject, "don't flatter yourself." Ziggy whispered and stepped closer to her, leaving a little gap between them, "I'm surprised you're not annoyed about what I said to you." Max said, "we both said things."
"Yeah we did." She pursed her lips and started to walk away, "Max-"
"What?!" She raised her voice and turned back around, taking Ziggy by surprise, "what's wrong?"
"Nothings wrong and even if there was- I don't see any reason I would be telling you."
~
After Max snapped at her, Ziggy decided to leave it and just walk away, they weren't friends so there was no point in pressing on at her. She headed back and practically passed out in her bed.
