Chapter 15~ I can't believe she's dead.

"Yeah...it was Eddie." Ziggy breathed out nervously as her and Max stared at each other, not knowing what had just happened, "maybe Chrissy left already and was heading to yours when you came here, maybe you just didn't see each other or went different ways." Max tried to reassure Ziggy but she knew she was just as confused and worried.

"We need to go over and see." Ziggy stated, "okay."

They got to Eddie's trailer and hesitantly walked up the few steps, "Chrissy?" Ziggy whispered, "are you in here?"

Max stepped in front and slowly pushed the door open with her foot, instantly throwing her hands up to her face and letting out a gasp, "what? What is it?!" Ziggy panicked, Max quickly faced her, out of sight, so she couldn't see and covered her eyes but Ziggy moved them away and opened the door to see.

She suddenly let out a heavy breath as her vision went blurred from the sight of Chrissy's body on the floor, a sight that would be burned into her head forever, a million thoughts were racing through her brain and she couldn't seem to peel her eyes off Chrissy, "Ziggy." A muffled voice came from behind as she quickly got brought back to reality, "what- what-" Ziggy couldn't get out any words, "we have to go okay?" Max gently grabbed her arm but she felt frozen, "I can't-" she cried, "Ziggy I know it's hard but you have to move. We cannot be near here."

"I can't believe she's dead." Ziggy was sat on Max's bed as tears rapidly fell down her cheeks, her body was curled up into a ball with her chin resting on her knees, "I never thought Eddie was capable of something like this."

"Ziggy." Max bit her nails as she paced back and forth, "all of the stuff we told you- about the town being cursed..."

"You think this is connected to that?!" She sat up, "I don't know- it just- it doesn't seem possible that Eddie could even be capable of that, I mean, her- her eyes were." Max closed her eyes tightly as flashes of the imagine came into her head, "and her bones."

"Eddie looked scared." Ziggy let out, "he was screaming, maybe you're right- I don't know enough about what you told me to one hundred percent know but I do know Eddie wouldn't do this."

"I think we need to call the police."

"What?! We can't- not on Eddie!" Ziggy argued, "I don't mean on Eddie but we have to report what's happened."

"We can't!" Ziggy shouted, "why not?!"

"Because that means she's really gone!" She cried, "once the police know...everyone in town will be talking about it and I won't be able to pretend she's still here. At least tonight I can pretend."

"Ziggy, I can't imagine how this feels to lose someone else but...you can't pretend this isn't happening and you know you can't."

"It just doesn't feel real." She sobbed, "how is this even possible- I was- I was talking to her earlier and now-" her crying cut off her words as Max held Ziggy in her arms, "I'm so sorry Zig." She kissed her head, "what's gonna happen to Eddie?"

"I don't- I don't know." Max sighed, making Ziggy's sobs louder, "I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault." She cried, "I'm just sorry about all of this, I feel like you've been dragged into this."

"You didn't drag me into this, how did any of you know this would happen again? I just want to go to sleep and not think about tomorrow morning." She said in a weak voice, "okay." Max brought the duvet over her and kissed her head before getting up, "I'm gonna call them..."
