I can't wait to receive our swords, then we can start our journey and hunt the monster that killed our family. I swear that I will bring that demon down one day.

-Rest And Wait-

Y/N P.O.V

Onii-Chan and I are currently making our way back to Urokodaki-San's hut. I notice Onii-Chan staggering a little. It's obvious that he's hurting from all the injuries he have sustained during the Final Selection.

"Onii-Chan..." I said. He turn his head to look at me. He looks so tired and weak. I crouch down in front of him. "I'll carry you..." I said.

"But, aren't you tired too?" He asked, tiredly. I shake my head, giving him a reassuring smile. I move to crouch down in front of him.

"I felt so much better and fresher... I'm not sure what's going on with my body, but I'm stronger than I normally would" I said. After hesitating, Onii-Chan finally wrap his arms around my neck. I support his legs by placing my hands behind his knees. I stand straight as I start to walk again.

"Nee-San... Urokodaki-San" I said, huffing a little. The door to the hut got kicked off. My eyes widened when I see Nee-San walking out of the hut. "N-No way... Nee-San!" I yelled out. She turns her head to look at me.

Tears starts to stream down my cheeks. "Onee-San!!" I yelled out. I quickly run forward. But after a few steps, I tripped and falls down. I slowly sit up, only to have a pair of arms wrapped around me and Onii-Chan. I start to cry harder as I realize it's Nezuko-Nee.

"Why... why'd you suddenly fall asleep??" Onii-Chan as he hugs the two of us. "And you didn't wake up after that. I was worried you were going to die, you know?!" He said as we keep on crying while hugging Nee-San tightly.

I feel another pair of arms wrapping around us. I lift my head slightly to see Urokodaki-San. He leans his mask on my forehead while placing his hands on Onii-Chan's and Nee-San's head.

"You both came back to us alive..." he said. I notice there are tears streaming down his cheeks despite wearing a mask. I choke out a sob as I start to cry harder. Onii-Chan is also crying. I'm so glad... we've both made it out alive. Thank God.

Time-Skip

Urokodaki-San starts to brief us how things are ahead of us. He also warns us if the demons we faced have some sort of markings in their eyes. More specifically numbers, then we shouldn't try to fight and run away because defeating them will be impossible for our current level.

Urokodaki-San turn his head to face me. "So, have you tested out your Flash-bomb, Y/N? Have you figure out whether it works?" He asked. I grin at what he said and nod my head.

"Yeah. I did used it on this Hand Demon... and it works. The demon got seriously burned. Unfortunately, the light only lasted for 10 seconds. So it's not enough to kill the demon. It can only injure him enough to weaken him" I said.

"I see... I'm sure you can figure out how to improve it" he said. I smile softly at what he said and nod his head. "I'm still impressed how you're able to create such a lethal weapon for demons" he said.

"I'd love to show you the books I've read. Unfortunately, they got destroyed when our family got killed" I said. My eyes saddened at the thought of our family. Mother, along with our younger siblings.

"There's only one demon that might be responsible for what happened to your family..." he said. I listen quietly, waiting for him to tell us. "There's only one demon that is able to turn humans into demons. And that demon's name is... Kibutsuji Muzan" he said.

"Kibutsuji... Muzan..." I said. My voice sounded cold and devoid of emotions. I lower my head to look down at my lap. I clenched my hands into tight fists. That monster is the one who killed our family and turn my twin sister into a demon.

I turn my head slightly to look at Nee-San. She's laying under a futon with blanket over her. I give her a sad smile. I turn to look at Urokodaki-San.

"I swear that I'm going to hunt down that demon and bring him down. I'll never give up until I know he's dead. I will prevent him from hurting more humans" I said. I feel a hand on top of my hand. I turn my head to look at Onii-Chan. He smiles softly at me.

"We both will..." he said. I just smile at him and place my free hand on top of his. He give my hand a gentle squeeze.

"Think about that later. Both of you need to rest well. You both must be tired..." he said. I just nod my head at what he said. I stand up and bow at him, with Onii-Chan doing the same. We turn around and make our way towards the bedroom.

I lay down on the futon. I place the blanket on top of me. I turn my head to look at Nee-San. She have moved her futon closer to mine. She outstretch her hand and gently grab mine.

"I promise... I'll turn you back into a human, Nee-San" I said, smiling softly at her. She closes her eyes. Although,  her mouth is covered because she's wearing a bamboo muzzle, I can tell that she's smiling at me. My eyelids slowly gets heavier. I close my eyes and let myself drift off to sleep, while still holding hands with Nee-San.

I'm currently sitting on top of a tree, leaning my back against the tree trunk while watching the cloud slowly drifted by. It's been days since me and Onii-Chan returned from the Final Selections. Our Nichirin swords should be ready soon. I can't wait to receive them, so we can start going on missions and seek out that demon who killed our family.

A sound of soft bells chiming, snaps me out of my daze. I turn my head to see a man walking towards Urokodaki-San's hut. I blink my eyes at the sight of him and jumps down the tree. I rush to stand next to Onii-Chan as I stare at the man in curiosity.

"I'm Haganezuka Hotaru... and I'm here to deliver the swords for Kamado Tanjiro and Kamado Y/N..." he said. My eyes lit up at what he said. Onii-Chan tries to tell him to get inside. But he just started to talk about how the swords are made and where to find the ore. I let out a nervous chuckle as he completely ignores us. But still, I admire his dedication and love to swordsmanship.

After a while, he finally agrees to enter the house. I sit next to Onii-Chan. Haganezuka-San already handed me my Nichirin sword. He explained that it's also known as color changing sword. Now he's urging me to draw it. I place my hand on the hilt and slowly pulls it out from the sheath.

"Wow

"Wow... the blade have turned color. It's beautiful..." I said, staring at it in awe.

"Now you... the older Kamado. Draw it out..." he said. I turn my head to look at Onii-Chan as he slowly pulls out his sword. I watch in awe as his sword slowly turns black.

Haganezuka-San look disappointed. He's hoping to see a red sword. He lunges at Onii-Chan and pins him down. I panic at the sight and try to pull them apart. But this man is too strong. Goodness, this man is scarier than demons.
