He walk closer to me, emerging from the shadow of the room. He lift his hand, invitingly. "If forgetting every single pain and guilt is what you wish for... I can help you, Kamado Y/N..." he said. His smirk widened as I just stare at him. He lift his hand higher, as if urging me to accept his invitation.

Come and join me...

-Unstable-

Tanjiro P.O.V

I hold a tray, taking it to Y/N's room. I've requested Aoi-Chan to cook Y/N's favorite food again. I hope this time she'd want to eat it. She's been skipping meals for days. I'm worried that her health will worsen.

I slowly push the door open, eyes on the tray to make sure I didn't spill anything. "Hey, Y/N... I've brou-" I stopped mid-sentence after opening the door. The room is empty. I look around in horror as a scent enters my nostril. There's a trace of demon in this room. How could I not notice that there's a demon here?!

"Y/N..." I said, as panic surged through my vein. I turn around and runs off. There's still a faint scent of Y/N's. I hope she's not too far off. I hope this demon hasn't hurt her, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if something bad happen to my little sister.

I turn around the corner and hear a yelp. I yell out a sorry as I keep running. "Hey, Tanjiro! Where are you going?! I thought you're going to visit Y/N!" The person yelled behind me. I recognize the voice as Zenitsu. But I didn't say anything and just keeps on running.

I don't want to lose Y/N's scent. I have failed to save the rest of my family. I don't want to lose my sisters. I don't want to lose anyone else.

I notice someone walking on the grass field not far from where I am. My eyes widened when I realize it's Y/N. She is alone, I don't smell any demons around. I look around to see if the demon somehow hid their presence. But there are none.

"Y/N!" I yelled out, trying to gain my sister's attention. She just keeps walking silently. I rush towards her and place my hand on her shoulder. She finally stopped. "Y/N... it's already night time. You don't have your sword with you. It's too dangerous to be wandering around" I said. She just stays silent, still facing forward. I move to stand in front of her. I place my hands on her shoulders. Her face is facing down, so I can't see her face.

"Hey... let's go home, okay? You need plenty of rest" I said. She still remained silent. I lift my hand to her face as I gently brush her hair, moving it away so I can see her face. "Hey Y/N?" I called out, trying to gain her attention. She slowly lift her head. My eyes widened as I watch her eyes slowly turned color.

I back away as I stare at her in horror

I back away as I stare at her in horror. Only then I realize that the scent of the demon I smelt in the hospital room was coming from her. The scent on her body slowly getting stronger as she stares at me coldly.

"Y/N... y-you" I stuttered out. Tears starts gathering in my eyes as I stare at her in disbelief. "No... this can't be happening! First Nezuko and now you" I cried out. I let out a frustrated scream as I fall on my knees. Why do I keep failing on protecting my family?!

Y/N just stares without moving nor saying anything. She slowly turn around. I stand up and grab her wrist. "Where are you going, Y/N? Are you going to that man?" I asked. She didn't say anything. She try to get her hand out of my grip, but I just tighten my hand around her wrist. "Please don't go... we'll find a way to fix you, okay?" I pleaded.

She turn her head to look at me. I stare at her pleadingly. I don't want her to go and seek for that man. I don't want to lose my sister. I wrap my arms around her tightly as I start to cry.

"Onii-Chan..." I hear her soft voice. I pull away to look at her. Her eyes slowly turned normal. The scent of the demon on her body vanished without a trace. Her eyes rolled back as her body slowly went limp. I quickly catch her body and cradle her gently as if she's made from a fragile glass.

I place my hands behind her knees and pick her up. I have to take her back to the Butterfly Estate. Why did she seem to turn into a demon? Only to turn back into her normal self. Does it have anything to do with the fact that she's a Shadowhunter?

I gently laid her down on the hospital bed. I cover her body with a blanket, just in time the door opens to reveal Tokito-Kun. He looks worried as he rushes towards us.

He kneels down next to the bed. He gently brush Y/N's hair. "I heard from Zenitsu that she wandered off on her own. Is she alright?" He said, turning to look at me. I bit my lips as I stare at the ground.

"She wasn't herself at one point, Tokito-Kun" I said. I lift my head to see him staring at me with a confused look. I turn to look at Y/N. "Her eyes... her scent. She gave off the impression that she was a demon. But it's not for long as she turned back into a human" I said.

"H-How i-is that p-possible?" He asked. I lightly shake my head to let him know I didn't know. He turn his head to look at Y/N. He held her hand, placing his forehead on the back of her hand.

I turn my head to see the book about Shadowhunter. I walk towards it and pick it up. Maybe I'll find an answer from this book. I walk towards the chair and sit down. I start to flip through the pages.

Shadowhunters are different from the new generations of Demon hunters. They may have a strong physiques. But their state of mind is fragile. A Shadowhunter who let themselves fall into despair will slowly transform into one of a demon. A transformed Shadowhunter is far more powerful than a regular demon.

The first sign of transformation is their eyes that will turn into slits, similar to a demon. During this phase, they can still transform back into a human. But once the first sign is shown in them, the next transformation will begin to reveal themselves.

The Shadowhunter may start to shift in and out between the two sides of a human and a demon, with each time they turn... the demon side will be stronger than the previous ones. Until eventually the Shadowhunter will lose themselves and the transformation will be completed.

To prevent a Shadowhunter from getting their full transformation is to end the transformation before it completes. The only way a Shadowhunter can be stopped is by stabbing them using a sword, belonged only the person they're closest to.

NOTE:
This is the ONLY way to kill a Shadowhunter. Any other people who tried to kill them will only result in fastening the transformation. Once transformed... they will be hard to stop.

My eyes widened at the new discovery I had just read. I turn my head to look at Y/N. An image of Y/N's demon eyes flash through my mind. That's the first step of the transformation. If I let this continues, Y/N will be a full fledge demon. But the only way to stop her is to kill her. There's no way I would do that. But what else can I do to stop her transformation?
