Chezray heard heavy breathing, it was almost unbearable and persistent. His senses were far too strong for him not to notice and it was followed by screeches of metal.
He got out of bed. His vest sitting tightly around his body as he slipped on his sweat pants. His bare feet touched the cold concrete slabbed floor, slowly making his way towards the noise.

He detected the cause, as he leaned annoyedly against a wall and crossed his arm. Staring at his sister, using the metal rod that laid laterally between the two sides of the door frame. She was doing pull ups.

It came to a shock to him as to how similar their sense of fashion was as she was dressed in a vest as well, it was actually a sport's bra and wore sweat pants, grey ones. By the way she was going, Chezray would've estimated that she had been at it for at least half an hour now.

"You know, you're gonna pull a muscle if you keep going at that for much longer," he said, letting her register his presence.

She let go of the rod, dropping to the floor and exhaling, making sure her hair was still tied to a single high-ponytail, she looked back at him.
"I know what I can and cannot do. My body. My limits," she said, as sweat started drying on her forehead.

Chezray raised his eyebrows in a sarcastic manner and tilted his head to the side.
Abbey dropped down, doing pushups. Going at a moderate pace.

Chezray noticed the small groans she'd release in every depression and he rolled his eyes dramatically. He walked up to her and as she rose from a depression, he gently kicked her arm. Throwing all her balance off as she fell to the ground. Anger spurred in her, an anger so great it felt as if her body was boiling as she got up as fast as she could.

Her eyes emitting an orange-yellow, she attacked Chezray. Throwing punches as Chezray grabbed her wrists, his face calm. He kept her hands away from him, pushing them back the more she tried to reach him.

"Let me hit you!!" she screamed, her fangs bared as her demeanour changed to suit that more of a wolf.

Chezray yet again sighed and then looked at her, "You done?"
The question was quite a belittling one considering that she was trying her best to reach him and he was fending her off with ease. And as if not to make it worse, he asks that question as if he were bored with her. She lost all the strength she had to go forth and let pulled her hands back from him.

"You're an asshole, you know that, right?" she asked.

"Big word for a kid who acts like a seven year old," said Chezray turning around.

"I don't know why you of all people had to become the alpha of the family. Why Dad let you become the alpha," she shrugged.

"Because I am the one who he chose. Not you, not Euchè and not Chezrin. Me. I am the one who he chose to be alpha," said Chezray.

"You're also the one who killed him to gain that status, and what happened after both you and Taliya became alphas? She left and led a better pack. She left you. You convinced me to join a low level pack. Consisting of a shitty alpha with no true leadership skills or knowledge on how to be a leader and strategist. A kid with anger issues so bad that he was medically declared as a ticking timebomb and now to add onto that he's rebelling against you. And a kanima, that would easily kill us all if he were able to learn his true potential if he were given the time to. I should've left and stayed with Taliya," snapped Abbey.

"Well, you didn't. You stayed with me and I've kept you alive ever since. Have you even heard from Taliya since she left?"

There was no reply.

"Let's make this simpler, have you even heard from Euchè since he left with her?"

Again no reply.

"Of course you wouldn't hear from him, because he died. At least when I lead a pack, I don't let my betas die. You can't say the same for Taliya, now can you?" he said, his voice had already been raised, but now he stared a hole into Abbey who was left silent.
