Two weeks had actually gone by pretty slowly for Banny considering that he couldn't do much in that time period. His recovery was taking a little too long which made him speculate a lot of things. Even if the wounds inflicted on him were from an alpha, then they should've at least healed in two or three days and yet the claw marks that stretched over his abdomen were still not fully healed. The only possible reason as to why he hadn't healed by then was maybe because they were meant to be lethal, his death was meant to be the end result. He was just lucky Chezray missed. Another thing that he had realised over his time at home was how he had overlooked thing that Lizo did. He had a new found appreciation for everything Lizo did while taking care of him. Funny how two people who are as close as brothers can be at each others necks, trying to kill each other one day and then the next moment are okay with each other. Small things, like how Lizo would measure how much spice he'd add on food cause he knew Banny's tolerance level was extremely low. Another common aspect was the fact that Abbey was visiting way more often. She would ask on updates on his health and how he was healing, but she seemed to be uninterested. Banny figured that it was orders given to her by Chezray, maybe to gloat at his achievement, or maybe feel displeasure at how he couldn't get the job done. Or the worst case scenario being that he would send Abbey to finish the job when his guard is down, but one thing Banny was sure about was that he had to be on high alert around her. She didn't seem like that much of a threat though since the only real reason she ever came around was to be with Lizo. She'd help him with chores, throw flirty remarks at each other. Banny would sometimes find himself staring at them, not knowing why. Until those words would ring in his head."You know, Banny. I'm actually tired of people thinking they know everything about me, and people being so confident in themselves at my expense. But you know what? Fuck you, you bastard. There are things that I know about you that you don't know and things you aren't good at."
Banny walked down the corridor, opening the door to his room, a blinding light from the windows and the rising sun blinding him as he put his hand on his brow to cast a shade over his eyes.
"You don't think the people around you noticed how you always put on a mask and pretend that you're emotionless and care about nothing and nothing affects you."
Banny fell face first in his bed and with lazy eyes stared at his phone that had been bombarded with messages from the last two weeks. Updates on school work that he had not checked and check ups from his friends.
"Even now, your reaction was to try and make light of my feelings towards you and even tease me like the complete asshole that you are."
He switched off his phone, closing his tired and baggy eyes.
"You say we're both young, but in a way, you're the one who's fucking immature!"
He knew that he'd have to face her the following day, a Tuesday, the 7th of February.
Darkness
His eyes popped right open and stared into a far distance. His room.
"What was the time?"
He switched on his phone. 05:12.
He registered that he was 12 minutes behind schedule, so he got up. In a rush of things he showered, brushed his teeth and got dressed. Neatly wrapping bandages over his chest to prevent him bleeding out onto his shirt if the worst case scenario would happen in his time at school. He first had to go to the headmaster's office before reporting to classes that morning, so he had to be there quite early.Lizo had been showering by the time he was done.
"Yo, Lizo!! I'll be leaving now, gotta see Headmaster Olson!!!" he said slamming the door to the apartment shut and running down the stairs. He had almost fallen, but thank the heavens for his heightened, supernatural agility as he did an entire somersault and landed neatly on his feet right infront of the entrance and exit for the building. He registered the cool breeze of the morning, it was gonna be a hot day. The clouds were partially settled in the sky, the birds flying over the due wet grass and the sun striking through the spaces in the clouds that dared to try defy his light. He made his way to school, passing by a few familiar faces. He passed Shelby, waving at her and smiling, but signaling that he hadn't the time for conversation. He got to school, registering the atmosphere, how it had changed so much as the test series was near. It started that Thursday. Banny walked to the headmaster's office and to his suprise, she wasn't there. He sat beside the door on the chairs assorted inside the foyer leading to the office for quite some time. He stared at the portraits of all the headmasters before her, analysing their faces. He also found a bunch of year books and looked through the Disciplinary Committee members of that time.
Comparing their looks and stature to the current members. Banny came to the conclusion that the only one who looked like he could take on the weakest member of the current DC was a person named Ayden.
